I already emailed lvo once and got a reply from the visa officer. I had an additional question is it okay if I email him again or do they get frustrated. I am in process since october 30th. I start a new semester at university on 20th march and my medical expires on july 15 2016. The semester runs from march to mid july. Should I go back to school or ask LVO how long it will take?

Assalamu alykum folks

I applied in September 2015 and I've been requested twice after that for additional documents. (Nov 20, 2015 = Photographs and Jan 15, 2016 = Additional documents). Also I was requested a re-assessment of medical on Jan 15 because it said the previous one was expired. I have sent them the required documents as well as done the medical. When I go online to check my status I see there that they've mentioned sending me correspondence for additional documents but I wanna know if they also send an acknowledgment back when they have received it because I haven't received it and this is kind of making me restless. ( I do have proof of deliveries of both posts). My case officer is LJW-AW. Here's the details of my case so the timeline can be updated too.

Hi Raheel16, Saadbhatti1 ...we all are in the same boat. I got too acknowledgement email from cic. We all applied in 2nd week of Jan 2016 .

Lets make a group of people who applied in jan 2106...Anybody can help how to craete a group ??

That's great There's a thread for 'jan applicants', you can participate there.

Are we only able to check status on ECAS after we get Sponsor Approval? To check status, do we input sponsor's information or applicant's information?

I submitted my passport yesterday.
anyone going to submit passport in Karachi, make sure you go early because they stop taking submissions at 4pm. I was late and got there at 4:30 and had to go again the next morning to submit it.

The Visa should be issued on your passport within 10-12 days!

just got Passport request today... whole process took 28 months..

i am April 2013 applicant and got passport request on feb 19, 2015
