Does anyone know how long it take for DM currently after eligibility has passed? what is remaining after eligibility? security?

I got PPR yesterday! Passport sent to Islamabad today for PR. Any idea how long its taking to return these days? Anyhow here is my timeline. I only got a response from LVO after emailing them a few times and last time was URGENT..


We did Nikkah in April 2014.. then submitted case in Sept 2014

Case Submitted: Sept 2014
Transferred to LVO : Oct 2014

Rukhsati In May 2015


LVO requested Rukhsati pics in June 2015

2nd medical done December 2015

RPRF payment December 2015

DM on January 7th 2016


PPR on Feb 23rd 2016


Time between DM and PPR was approximately 45 days. I emailed LVO thrice and the third email was URGEnT because I did not receive any response from them..

Alhamdulillah my wife's passport is now already in Islamabad.. We are now booking her flight when she gets it back..


Now my questions please try to answer as much as you can:

1) What does she need when she comes to Canada? Passport ? Any money etc?

2) If your moving to Canada as in Immigrating do airlines allow extra baggage?

3)When she is here when does her healthcare kick in?

4) Why the hecck are airfares from KHI to Toronto so high right now? Im looking at 1100$ for oneway flight in March!

I didn't get any golden notrized stamp rather I went to notary public and he placed his simple stamp and signed it

Now where to get that Golden stamp now?

i went to pakistan for 10 days to get married. i dont have a house there so i did rukhsati at hotel. how do i prove it?

i have 1) pictures of bride n groom leaving together in a decorated car and 2) hotel receipt

is it enough?

She will get the temporary health card within a week

I don't think airlines have any policy of baggage for immigrants as they have nothing to do with it only normal baggage will be allowed

It's really better to spend 1100$ n get her a direct flight instead of looking for connecting flights etc

Obviously passport n she must have at least some $ amount

I got the acknowledgement email from CIC two days ago of receiving my application, but I’m unable to see any status on ECAS. Is that normal?

Since I’m sponsoring my wife, do I input my details on ECAS to check status?

Please note that all requested documents and information have been received and added to your file. You application is currently with an officer for review. If any additional information is required throughout the next stages of processing, we will be in contact with you.

few days back I found out about this forum, found out about case specific inquiry , I Than send case specific inquiry 3 days back because
my Decision was made August 2015 and no reply...

and today I got this reply:

This is in response to your enquiry.

Please note your file has been approved and is now ready for issuance of landing documents.

Your medicals expire on 20 April 2016 and your COPR is therefore only valid until then. Kindly advise if you are able to land in Canada before 19 April 2016.

Once we receive your response we will either be in contact with further instructions.

I hope & Inshallah things will go smooth from here.... I want to thank this forum, which provided so much of information. Thank you everybody !
