In 2014 , they made it compulsory for any person travelling from abroad to Pakistan and whose stay in Pakistan was 1 month or more has to take polio vaccination and certificate.U should confirm it from airport immigration the rules and regulation.

My wife immigrated to Canada in December 2015, Lahore airport did not ask for polio certificate. Not anywhere. Even when I visited Pakistan and when coming back they never ask for polio certificate.

Polio vaccination has nothing to be done with PR holder or Citizenship , its for all people visiting Pakistan for safety against Polio. Polio virus will not run away if someone is a Canadian citizen
Basic thing is duration of stay in Pakistan. In 2014 my one friend visited PAkistan from USA with her family and my sister in law visited from Denmark , but as their stay was 3 weeks in Pakistan ( less than 1 month ), they were exempted from Polio vaccination.
But if this duration concept have changed by immigration dept of airport then I dont know , as it was applicable on people visiting and staying 1 month or more in Pakistan in 2014, which I confirmed from airport as well. Thants why it should be confirmed first.

I visited pakistan in 2015 more than a month n I wasnt asked for it but may be bcz wheb I came back I didnt had to go thru the noormal wait m not sure I had vip protocal :$

I am planning on applying for my wife in June 2016 after having our Rukhsati + honeymoon in May 2016. The problem is that she got her medical done in August 2015, and since we will be applying in June 2016, I am wondering if she will have to get a re-medical. I am curious since on her medical form which she got, it said that the expiry is in 2020. Can anyone please let me know. Thanks

Ask the IOM if they will do another medical for you. If not, just attach the note from the one she got done in August 2015, and they will ask for re-medical when its time to finalize her application. Best is to get a new one done before submitting your application to save time later on.

I dont think the medical is valid until 2020. They are valid only for a year and they can extend it as per their wishes.

What is the IOM? Why would they ask for a re-medical, since we will apply in May and the file will get transferred to London by July and it will still have 1 month before expiry. And with regards to the expiry, it says on the form that the expiry date is 2020. Which "note" are you referring to? All she got was a form (single page)?

well for most of the people medical expire in 1 yr. may be she did different than what you are required to submit.

You trying to sound it like you have been waiting for over a year... lol nice try, you have only been waiting 5 or 6 days technically, please be patient, here people are awaiting PPR since November...

omg are you serious that people are waiting since November. I don't understand once they make decision then what make them this much delay.
I have a question to ask once they update on system decision made ...how do they notify you for PPR

well for most of the people medical expire in 1 yr. may be she did different than what you are required to submit.

We emailed the medical center and told them we needed medical for spousal Sponsorship and that is what they did.

If some people have not paid the RPRF fee and gotten an updated medical or their passports are soon to be expired, these will hold up the visa. All these things have to be up to date before they can stamp the visa.

Already paid off RPRF sent renewed passport copy as per their emails. DM since Oct 20th but no PPR yet. Emailed LVO thrice, sent CSQ month ago but no reply yet. My sister got her PPR on 12th day after her DM. Going to contact local MP, may be through call or visit local office.

lvo respond to their email after 24 to 28 working days.
