Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

AOA WR WB,
Thanks a million for the reply. I ordered notes and the main reason is the difference of age between me and my wife. According to them, it is unusual in Pakistani culture for the bride to be older than groom which depicts my case as my wife is 2 years older than me. Also they stated that I have not provided enough day to day communication evidence.

Best,
Saad K

Hey Guys,

I hope everyone is well :) I am a University of Toronto full-time student taking OSAP. I want to sponsor my spouse. I know that there is no income level required per se, but you do have to convince them as to how you would take care of your spouse. I have not been employed since I have been full-time (this is my last year). I will graduate hopefully this year and either start medical school or begin to work. I will get an HBSc degree which has a 97% success rate when finding a job (its on the university stats page). However, on the spouse form is asks for the income from the past 12 months, which in my case will only be $240. It won't be 0 since I worked as an Immigration Officer on Elections Day. But 240 is also not significant. I live with my parents and they pay rent, food, bills etc. I pay my tuition using OSAP and also bursaries and scholarships. My main point is that I know there is no concrete income requirement per se, but you do need to prove to them as to how you will support your spouse. I would greatly appreciate advice on this especially from people who successfully sponsored their spouse while being in my position. Thanks everyone!

I am also a Nursing Student. I don't have any OSAP and I have never worked. I submitted a letter from my parents that they will support us during my studies. It was stamped by one of my lawyer. My parents are the home owners and I live with them. I also submitted house ownership papers too.

They know very well that in our culture parents supports their children. If they know about Mayyon, Mehndi and all Shadi cultural rasmain, then I am sure they know this very well.

U don't need to wait untill your spouse get ppr as I didn't wait for my ppr also it's better to have the LVP ready. Also we only provided travel itinerary to canadian high commission islamabad as my kids didn't have pakistani passport so no travel document was available. I our case they took about 3 months for LVP but some docs were missing so it might have caused delays in our case.

Thank you so much. Did you post your application to High Commission in Islamabad or you hand that over to the VFS? The travel agent requires visa and a valid passport in order to issue a plane ticket, my son won't have a visa, did you face any problem for travel itinerary without visa? Did you pay full cost of plane ticket for your kids? I will get the plane ticket to fulfil the requirement of LVP, my son won't use that ticket. Do I have to lose my money for the air ticket? I plan to go to Pak after my son gets LVP and my wife gets PR visa, so that I can come with them, since the travel is long. My baby has the NICOP and Pakistani passport.

Thanks for your patience and help.

We sent it through FedEx not VFS. For itinerary u don't need passports or visa it's just booking with names. We never got paid tickets for anyone of us for LVP. Try and explain to CHC islamabad that without a valid travel document and visa u cannot get a paid ticket. It worked for us.

they will send you correspondence. and secondly from the day it's received start counting 2 months. InshaAllah within this time you will have your sponsor approval. can also be within 1 month.

You can travel from any country there will be no problem but as long as you enter Canada before the expiry of your Visa.
