Hi thanks for that, I didn't know about London, just one more thing please on part one it said today " files given on 26th October are being processed" something along those lines, how does this work ? Roughly how long does part one take?

Part 1 is sponsor approval it takes approx 60 days from the day u submit the application at cic. The second phase begins once u have received sponsor approval. Stage 2 is the spousal approval.

4-8 weeks in Mississauga office and then they send it to London for further processing. The first part is to determine if Sponsor is eligible.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Hey guys,

I had my Nikah last year in December and this year I am planning to go to Pakistan in April and have the ruksati, then come back and apply. I am a pre-med student that is why I did not apply right after Nikah, I WANTED to finish school and enter medical school when she comes here. Anyway, on the IM5490E form, under questions 27-29 it asks about whether you have lived together etc. When I will have my rukhsati in April we will live together from APRIL 27-MAY 18 and will go on a honeymoon etc. However, I will have to return to Canada to finish my Medical school process etc.
So my questions are under question 27 which asks:
27) have you and your sponsor lived together? She will say yes we have and I will give the dates, and also mention honeymoon etc
28) are you currently living with your sponsor? She will have to say no because I would have returned and that is when I would be applying in Canada
29) are you living with someone other than your sponsor? what should I say here? Should I say that she is living with my parents in Pakistan because after I come back to canada my parents will still be there for 2 more months and then come back due to their business etc. So should I mention that she will go back to her house after my parents return or should I say that she will live with my parents, because they are not asking for any dates, and during the app period she will be living with my parents. And I ALSO Heard that is a BAD idea to say that she will go back to her parents house and live there until APP is approved. Any advice would be great, especially from someone who was in this position and got their sponsorship successfully :)

Thank you

hi everyone.. great news got request to submit passport to islamabad office

Please be advised that this file has reached the final stage of processing and is now ready for visa issuance. There is now a new procedure for submitting your passport(s). We require all passports to be submitted via the VFS Visa Application Centre (VAC) in Pakistan. This ensures a faster and safer process in the return of all passports.

Please refer to the attached document for instructions for submitting your passport(s) to the VAC (and details of the new compliant photograph specifications) so that your permanent resident visa(s) can be issued.

Please remember to include your application number (which is in the format .......) with all submissions to the Pakistan VAC.

my husband will do this on monday because its chirstmas and eid so everything seems to be closed

Yes she need it . Better to take a flight which has a stop in middle east country , in middle east countries no transit visa required. u should change her ticket. This has happened with my husband last year , after getting ticket he came to know , so he changed his ticket to Turkish airlines and had stop over in Istanbul for 5 hrs though my husband is PR of Canada , but still transit visa was required for Amsterdam.

R u sure? Cuz m getting to know generally tht it wont be required
Anybody has any info?

My flight Saudi Airline was from Lahore to Toronto Via Jeddah. My layover was at Jeddah for eight HOURS Saudi don't give transit VISA in my case they didn't. If you are traveling on Emirate then you can apply for transit visa online.

As long as you have change airplanes of SAME (KLM) airline and had boarding pass it will be ok. No need of transit Visa.

Yes I am sure . My husband had to change his flight last year due to this particular reason.u can ask a reliable travelling agent or KLM airlines helpline to confirm. Transit visa is required if u choose an airlines having stop over in a western country.Thats why people go Canada having stop over in Dubai, Qatar , Istanbul , Jeddah , Bahrain etc or any other middle east country. For stop over in Middle east countries transit visa is not required.Obviously your wife has to get down on Amsterdam air port from 1st KLM and has to get into another KLM from airport of Amsterdam. To land on Amsterdam she needs transit visa.Be sure of policies and confirm it from KLM helpline and travelling agent.
