Thanks for the quick reply. But wouldn't it be wise to wait for the email from embassy as the mistake is from their end. And they will definitly now extend the EXPIRY date?

There is no majic or urgent fix and it is not a huge mistake also you yourself said it is their mistake ... just land there, getting extension may put you in a bigger trouble and delay of several months so your Visa should have no mistakes everything else is secondary...

Expert opinion needed,

I got email today that my file is transferred to London.

Now I want to apply for my wife's visit visa. Please tell me is it wise to apply for visit visa while my wife's sponsorship file is in process.
Is it going to effect my sponsorship application? If its completely fine to apply for visit visa then what are the steps to be taken to make case for visit visa strong.

Any expert advise will be highly appreciated.

Everyone's situation is different, I did the same and visa was denied, lost money fees and sweat for nothing, nowadays the PR visas are processed pretty fast you better wait and inshaallah it will be done faster, i have seen people who applied in June July this year have got visas allready or at least DM. I wouldn't go for a visit visa. It is up to you if you want to give it a try, the package is available on CIC website.

No they are differently assessed so if you qualify for one then it is allowed. same thing happen with one of my friend who applied visit visa and rejected and same time his PR application accepted.

Please select which department where would you like to submit an access to information or privacy request?

There are different choices.

Please help if anyone has requested for notes.

My application was received on 8th Oct 2015.
I want to apply for my wife's visit visa because I dont know how much time it will take to complete the process so I want her to be with me as soon as possible.

My ecas updated and they say that they have sent me correspondence o Nov 24, 2015. Its December 10 and i have not got anythingyet. i have been checking junk daily. they sent me correspondence last year through post. What shouli do i am very tensed. please help> I know there will be medical, police or updated forms request. and there wud be timeline also . 16 days have already passed. what shud i do now.

HEY everyone!
So i submitted my application package on 20/10/2015 and just received an email just today (10/12/2015) i.e. after 50 days approx, stating that:

"This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2015/10/20."

what's gonna happen now? when to expect the next email & what will it be about?
can someone give me a breakdown with expected processing times of the next few steps?

next step will be aproval .you will get aproval soon, may be in december i guess .

Do Case Specific Inquiry or Email them and write URGENT . Hopefully they'll reply you soon as possible.

WRITE THEM EMAIL AND ASK VIA CSI AND PROVIDE THEM YOUR EMAIL SO THAT THEY CAN FORWARD IT VIA EMAIL

My Husband got an email from ISB visa office to collect his passport tomorrow. Now he will be here before CHRISTMAS. Thank GOD..
