I just have another question.

I am pregnant and my due date is january 6 inshAllah. I did attach my pregnancy letter from the doctor when I sent my application. I just wanted to know, should I send my baby's birth certificate once he's born or should I wait till they ask me for it?

Send your child's birth certificate his / her pictures with you and your spouse whoever is available, updated family information form IMM5406 because they will ask you for this information anyways.
They also asked me to send updated Generic application form adding the baby as a dependent of the applicant which was me (I don't know if they will ask u for it or not coz a lot of people were not asked to resubmit IMM0008)

Im a feb 2015 applicant. It's been over one month since additional documents submitted and so far no further communication. I also sent case inquiry but got no response. Not sure what is going on with the file. How many other feb applicants remaining?
Should I send for notes now.. And what is link to request notes .
Please advise. Thanks

there is a limit of file size so break down your file to small and do not exceed the limit. Best way is copy and paste pics onto word doc.
good luck. Also check your browser if it is compatible.

If u are a citizen u can get ur child's temporary canadian passport made from canadian high commission islamabad. Get ur child's birth certificate made from union council and CRC from nadra. There are forms available on the cic website for temporary passports fill those send ur original identity with the package to islamabad. Fee is 9500 per child. U should get it in 2 months however official time is 20 working days.

I hadn't applied till then...I submitted my docs to midi 3 days ago and cic just gave me 30 days to submit everything

May be u r right...

Did they sent u csq forms as well?

They did not send me any csq forms...I also submitted my docs to MIDI on wednesday. I was given 45 days, however for some reason I sent it 3 days ago.

I just hope that the csq gets done before the deadlines.

My notes are the same thing. Elibility: Recommend passed. Due date was 30th October which is long gone now. Security Criminality not started. Medical passed, though it is expiring 31st Decmeber 2015.

Recommend passed means that the first officer has no doubt about your relationship, but due to some internal flags he has to pass the decision to the senior officer. He will probably pass you too. Just a matter of time now.

Due dates mean nothing.

File is put away until further notice.

You need to focus on the comments at the end of your notes. Mine had a two-page long note stating our whole relationship story and how the officer thought he has no doubt about our relationship.

Recommend passed - just means a junior officer has approved the file. There is no internal flags. But based on my own observation of GMCS notes, the eligibility status will likely change to pass when your criminality has passed.

File put away - they have simply filed your sponsorship paper application (likely after they have scanned the documents)

Due dates mean when the visa officer will next re-visit the file.

they will contact you with the interview date and time about a month before the interview.

Do you know the reason for the interview? If not you should order notes, and find out their concerns so that you are better prepared.

You need to apply for Canadian Citizenship Certificate. Then you can apply for Limited Validity Passport.
When you visit the Consulate to submit your Citizenship Certificate, you can also get instructions for Limited Validity Passport (i.e. acknowledgement of citizenship certificate application sent, passport photos, passport application, copy of plane ticket, etc.)

Here is response from CHC Islamabad:

Dear Mercy24,

Thank you for your email message addressed to our general mail box. Please note that an application for a certificate of Canadian citizenship on behalf of new born can only be filed after his/her birth. If the child is born in Pakistan, you or your wife can complete the attached application form and file it with the nearest Canadian Mission or Consulate. If you are located in Karachi or Lahore, the application can be filed with our respective Consulate in the city. If you are residing outside of Lahore or Karachi, you can send your application to Islamabad for processing. Please read the instructions letter carefully before you complete the application.
