I personally don't trust much the ECas status.

Both you and me got Decision made even without having paid RPRFee. So they might be opening the file again for a review to make sure if the remaining required things (RPRFee in our's case) have been provided.

I have paid everything when I filed the application. I paid the rprfee upfront

May be there's some mix-up over here.

So there was some correspondence in your case on October 13, 2015? What was that about?

they asked for Urdu nikah nama with English translation. They received it on Oct 19. Ecas updated on Oct 31 with decision made. I don't know when will PPR come

Hopefully very soon.

No one can tell you the exact time, but we can do just a guess work based on previously posted info by other members.
But one thing you can safely say that Insha Allah you won't need any further medicals and will land before or in January.

You don't need to pay RPRF for them to process your file and have a DM.
But they will not issue your visa until they have received the RPRF.
It is ideal to pay your RPRF as soon as possible without waiting for them to ask.

I got it in 3 days, but I was not residing in Pakistan but in EU

Question 1: For the certified copy of the Pakistani passport. Do I give the first two pages spread or do I need to include the spread with page 3 and 4? (no stamps or visas issued on the passport)


Question 2: In the required documents it says "Original marriage certificate for you and your spouse (Nikkah Nama)." But I have two different documents

1 - Marriage Registration Certificate (English)
2 - Nikkah Nama (Urdu)

Do I include both, along with certified translation of Nikkah Nama?

I emailed lvo that I have sent the requested documents and did medical. Lvo replied that waiting for officer review. Should I ask them did they receive medical results or just notification email is enough?

anyone submitted passport to islambad embassy in the last week of October ??
I submitted mine on 22 October . There were three holidays of muharram and then my passport was forwarded to embassy on 26 Oct. no news yet

As per my notes the case assessment due date is Dec 9, 2015
Do they actually follow this deadline or not?
Also background checks which haven't started yet as per notes have a due date of Nov 16, 2015
What should I expect?

Good Morning to All,

I am visiting my wife in December, 2015 (a year after marriage). After I have landed in Pakistan, is it a good idea to write a letter to LVO informing them that I am in Pakistan visiting my wife and returning on Date: MM-DD-2016 and would request that my wife be issued PR visa/papers so she could accompany me back to Canada?

I have heard different opinions, some people say you shouldn't be bothering LVO unless for the requirements they have listed online (When should I contact CIC? as listed on the website). Others have said it is a good idea to write this kind of letter as it shows your relationship is genuine and you are back visiting her in a year.

Let me know your thoughts please.
