I am so sorry you are in this situation!

At this point you should wait for your GCMS notes. There is no telling how long background checks can take. Its one of those questions I guess no one will be able to answer.

Maybe you can get your local MP involved? wait until the new MP takes office on NOvember 4th. hopefully if its a Liberal party member, he will be able to help better (just my assumption)

Hi Everyone:

So I am looking into applying for Family Class Sponsorship Outland as I recently got married to a Canadian. I am currently on PGWP and was hoping I would get in through Express Entry. That doesn't seem to be working so, I am thinking its best to not waste time and apply through my spouse. Any ideas on how long the applications are taking? I have 1.5 years left on my work permit. Will that be enough to receive my PR or do you think its better to apply inland?

Also, would I be sending in the same documentations required by a Pakistani in Pakistan, or can I send in verified copies as I live in Canada already?

Every case is different but in my csse I sent additional documents and got DM after 20 days

Salaam everyone,

I just wanted to share an experience with all of you so that you are aware of the procedures.

My husband sent his passport through TCS courier yesterday with all the required documents. Today the courier individual, upon reaching the gates of Islamabad Visa Office called my husband and had him speak to the security person at the gates of the office. The individual told my husband that they don't accept any passports through TCS and that my husband will have to come there personally to drop it off. I have never heard of this before. I thought dropping it off personally and sending through mail are 2 options we have. So anyways, my husband called the Islamabad visa office later to verify this and indeed the Islamabad visa office agent told my husband that they don't accept passports through TCS or any mail delivery method for that matter. My husband also verified some general information. So, tomorrow (assuming he will get the package back from TCS early tomorrow) my husband will go to the Lahore visa office as that is closest to him. The Islamabad visa office agent said that he can take the passport to any of the 3 locations they have (Lahore, Islamabad or Karachi) and drop it off. He'll get it back in about 1-1.5 weeks.

So before sending the passport through any mail services, please call the embassy which you are planning to send the passport to, and verify if this is an acceptable method. We got PPR last Thursday but didn't submit the passport until yesterday because of Muharram holidays and now another day got wasted.

Tell you wife there are people waiting since 2013 on this forum who are also very worried about their files. I applied in January 2015 and I'm still waiting. There are a whole bunch of people in Oct - December 2014 who are still waiting and are away from their partners and its hard for all of us! May Allah help us all She is not alone!

she is so depressed that she says why are mar, apr, may some of them got their visas. Why not me? I am always telling her be patient. Please allah provide every body their visa fast.

Alhamdurillah... my wife received Passport request today.... InshaAllah all 2013 and 2014 applicants will get PPRs within couple of months...

Mein na kha ha buhat dafa laken isa fiqr hoti ha na kab lga ga. Is lya who roti bhi ha kyon ka wo mughay bara yad karti ha. I have told her don't worry, it will come soon Inshallah. Me and her keep praying for our self and every body. Please allah give everybody their visas fast!

Um why would you send it through TCS they specifically mention in the PPR where are supposed to submit only the ones in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi are the authentic ones I got my passport back in less then a week through them.

Does sending a Case specific enquiry delay the processing of your file? I sent one last week and It's been 2 weeks since DM but no PPR yet......
