On Oct 13 they requested Urdu Nikah Nama with English translation and in bold they wrote Marriage Certificate. I applied only with marriage certificate. So I sent them and it has been received in London VO. Does anybody know how long will it take now.

Mine took 15 days. On 16th day i got PPR
So don't worry. in sha Allah you'll hear good news soon

Update: My husband got an email that his processed passport has been dispatched. But since it is 9 and 10 muharram, he cant pick it up until Monday.

I just got an update that medical results have been received, and this is 3 weeks after file went into process. My husbands medical already expired. When and what should I expect now? Any insight anyone? Thanks in advance

I will be traveling to Pakistan in next few weeks. I just want to know about the Airport fee you have to pay when arriving. If anyone had experince this in past please share how much the fee will be.

You have to pay it when returning from Pakistan. Rs. 1500

I dont know how to calculate how many days for background check. His application is in process status since July and we were asked to submit schedule A form in September. Its like 2-3 months if that is the case. I ordered case inquiry through my Mp office (just to mention our MP was also former canada immigration minister). I received inquiry within two days stating they are doing background checks.

How far are you?

Case has been in background checks since last 5 months and I had initially applied since 2012

Guys, I am re-posting this as I did not receive anyone's feedback on the issue we are going through. Your feedback will be appreciated.

Hi Senior Members,

Need some expert advise. We submitted our application in early 2014, and have been waiting patiently for our file to be processed. Almost 21 months have passed by and we have not received any re-medical or additional document request. GCMS notes just state that the file is in Active Processing. Need to clarify two things:

1) We have been told recently that our file is in Background Verification Checks since 25th February 2015. Does this process usually takes more then 8 months ?? Is it normal ?? What is it that we can do to get this resolved, so our file goes to the next steps of the process.

2) Is there any person we can write to regarding our case, as we believe this Background check is taking way too long. Our file has been in Background checks since last 8 month & there are applicants in 2015 with files completed and COPR granted with in 7 months.

Your help and guidance in this matter will be really appreciated.

Almahdulilah, Got PPR today...

here is my time line.
Application send: 10th April 2015
AOR: 7TH MAY
sponsorship approved: 4th june
In process: 2nd Oct
DC: 17th Oct
PPR: 22nd Oct.

Alhamdulilah quite smooth process. No additional docs were asked.

I pray for all of those who are stuck somewhere thanks to all members for helping me out at each point whenever i asked for guidance. This forum was a great help for me.

My suggestion for new applicants.

Try to get medical done just before apply so that you dont have to do medical again.
pay all fees before applying. provide max proofs.
and make sure your application is complete in all aspects. I checked my application and all docs like 20 times before sending. because delay of 1-2 weeks before sending application is better then sending incomplete application and then be asked for diff requirement.
