LVO working fast but not in professional manner like other visa offices, some people are done in 8 to 9 months some waiting since last 15 months which is quite unfair...I can understand your point..but other side we should thankful to LVO atleast they are processing our files even clear Islamabad backlogs...

I think most of us can agree...
1) If you have to wait more than one year to bring your spouse to Canada its too long.
2) LVO can improve their communication
3) LVO should provide timely information (people are waiting for interviews to be scheduled)

In my wife's case, she still had 2 months validity on her medical but they still asked her to do a re-medical.
Although they have cleared most of Islamabad backlog which they had sufficient time for, there is still so much improvement they can make.
Part of the issue is also resource allocation, they are handling increasing amount applications from multiple nationalities with multiple visa classifications but no increase in human resources.
There is also very little transparency. Inconsistency in updating eCAS. I can't praise them but I am grateful that I did not have to experience that painful period when it was taking 3 years or more to process PR visa applications.

Agreed Mercy, and I am too very grateful that at least I don't have to suffer the 3 year long and very long processing times.

All I say is we know so little about their process and what's causing the delay at their end. Let's wait patiently, and pray and hope for the best.

You can always order notes, send inquiries, and also contact your MP for support. Stay positive, and respectful in your inquiries. They are also doing their jobs. And who knows what their limitations are.

We have been in process for a month. My husband's medical expired more than a month ago. We haven't heard anything and neither been requested any kind of documentations/re-med. So I am waiting, and hoping that inshaAllah in the end it will be all for the best.

Hey I want to know that I dont have a birth certificate made at the time of my birth.so should I make it now or attach the form B instead of a birth certificate.
One can always request a birth certificate from his Union Council.

Beats me.
We are waiting for 6 months now and haven't heard anything back.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

What do you need for someone who travels with a child (from Pakistan to Canada for the first time) where the child has Canadian citizenship and a Canadian passport (but born in Pakistan)? Are there any other documents you need for the child (besides Polio certificate?) Any insights from people who have travelled with kids before will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

I sponsored my wife in 2010 and it took 19 months through Islamabad, and at that time I thought that was even too much because when I applied, Islamabad processing time was only 9 months but updated to 24months by the time she got her VISA. I just checked the website today and it says 47 months for Islamabad :o :-X and 28 months for London...

Are there any applications being processed in Islamabad at all for Spousal Case or they only go to London now? And Is 28 months pretty accurate? What is the current average processing time?

Looking at the statistics of the forum members, the average time is around 11-13 months from sponsor approval to Visa issued.

Islamabad is not taking any Family sponsorship applications.

And 2 months in Mississauga I guess, so around 15-16 months. Not bad!
Thanks for info..

You should have the nadra birth certificate with you and a pakistan gov't document for travelling. This could be either NICOP or Pakistan passport.
This is a requirement for dual nationals.
