**SCAM ALERT**

Dear forum members, please be aware of the CIC call scam. Ever since Bill C-24 has passed, the scammers are taking advantage of immigrant's paranoia of this new law.
I received a call from someone who claimed to be working with CIC. The person knows your last name. And in my case, they spoofed the caller id and used the Ottawa area code in the phone number.
Once the person has you on the phone, they will connect you to the "senior" at CIC to discuss your file.
When this happened, the man provided his name and badge number. The man asked me how long I have been a PR - I replied I am a Canadian born citizen then he hung up.
There is also a scam I heard about CRA collecting back taxes.

I have a couple of qestion;

1- Is the "Last Date of Entry in Canada" same as "Date of visa Expiry"?
2- my destination in COPR is mentioned as Calgary, AB, can I book a ticket that takes me to Toronto before going to Calgary?

if only sponsor has the offer letter and pay stubs, is that enough for sponsoring spouse?
or, she/he needs the employment letter?
the person has new job, the employer is not giving the letter

what should be done?
pls suggest

My wife received the PPR request today, but apparently, the letter mentions to send the passport to VFS UK (not VFS Pakistan)? Anyone received the same request, where did you send the package? Please advise, I only have a few days to send the required information.....


Appendix C - Submitting Your Package
A) To submit your package to the Visa Application Centre (VAC) in London:
Please visit the VAC website for details on how to submit your package for secure transmission and for issuance of the permanent resident visa(s). (*Please note fees apply) http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/UnitedKingdom/index.html.
You should expect to be without your passport(s) for four weeks, so do not arrange any travel that will require your passport(s) during this period.
If you have not heard from us after four weeks, you may contact us using the email form on our website. We will not respond to queries received during this four week period.

1) I don't know about "Last Date of Entry" but I do know your visa stamp in the passport will not expire until your medical has expired.
2) Going to Toronto is fine. You will still need to go through Customs and Immigration Canada at the airport.

No, its not mandatory to have employment letter.
Do not forget to order your Option C printout.

Any reason why they stated VFS UK?
What city is your spouse living?

We got our first reply of CSE by NXR and the second by REO, I am not sure who is our VO

hi Mercy24,

Yes, I did send case specific inquiry to LVO as you advised and waiting for their feedback. I remember that they will take 28 days to respond against any case specific inquiry so they might respond by 1st week of September-2015 but it depends either they respond or not. God knows..!! My wife will also visit to MP by next week and I look forward if they will be helpful for us.

Hoping for the best in this stressing condition. I'll keep you update. Tnx
