I want to know can my processing time be shorter due to my little child?

I am a Canadian Citizen, I have child 32 months of age, and I don't see anything special so far in my sponsorship application. I am sponsoring my wife, my son is a Canadian. I have applied in June 2015. So its not necessary having a child makes Visa Officers to expedite the process.

Does anyone have SXB as their VO?

I had these initials on the medical extension letter.

Collected my passport today with Visa stamped and COPR. Alhumdullillah!!

I am sure NXR is the guy who usually replies CSE.
My VO is different but got an email from NXR back in June.

I sent proof of my husband's visit voluntarily in May n asked about my case status then i got reply from NXR.. In july end i again asked about interview schedule n got general reply that my file is still under review n got reply from REO.

Dear forum members, please be aware of the CIC call scam. Ever since Bill C-24 has passed, the scammers are taking advantage of immigrant's paranoia of this new law.
I received a call from someone who claimed to be working with CIC. The person knows your last name. And in my case, they spoofed the caller id and used the Ottawa area code in the phone number.
Once the person has you on the phone, they will connect you to the "senior" at CIC to discuss your file.
When this happened, the man provided his name and badge number. The man asked me how long I have been a PR - I replied I am a Canadian born citizen then he hung up.
There is also a scam I heard about CRA collecting back taxes.

I guess they are targeting immigrants in general or only those involved with CIC at the moment? How could they be getting the numbers of people to call?
