Correct. My wife was also in Canada on TRV when her PPR came. I sent an email to LVO telling them about her presence in Canada and they asked to send passport to Ottawa office instead. Upon receiving the passport back with PR visa, they even asked to do landing at local CIC office in Canada (no need to go to the border).
Do keep in mind that if LVO does not respond to your query within few weeks, you may want to consider sending her back.

Once you have received PPR you can submit a case specific inquiry to LVO and let them know about the applicant's present address they will reply back to you with the procedure how to proceed here in Canada, based on the VO near your present address.

Fantastic! Thanks for the update. I am assuming that CUstoms declaration will happen at the "Landing" at the local CIC? Is this where we would declare all that she has with her right now and the rest (Only jewelry i guess) will be arriving later?

Do I need to submit any cover letter with my sponsorship application? If yes then what details should I provide in that letter. And both principal applicant and sponsor need to submit cover letter?

E-Cas on my Spouse Case shows:
1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 15, 2015.
2. Medical results have been received.

I got an email letter saying that Sponsor was found eligible & case has been transferred to LVO on 23rd March 2015. So is 23rd March the date when LVO received the application? & since when should i count the Processing times of my case?

I had sent a case inquiry to LVO and got reply today, might be interesting for some of those waiting for interviews....



Dear Applicant,

Please be advised that, unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with any further information regarding the date of interview.

As advised on 6 July 2015, we expect to conduct one area trip in each quarter of the year. We endeavour to schedule interviews based on application received date, and we will be in contact approximately one month prior to the interview.

I also asked them about interview date on 27th July via email and I got following reply from LVO on 13th August.

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your message.

Please be advised that your application is still in process and under review to determine whether you need an interview or not. If an interview is required, then your interview will take place in Pakistan, and will be conducted by an immigration officer back in London, UK, during an area trip.

You will be contacted approximately one month prior to the scheduled interview date. Area trips will be conducted in each quarter of the year.

Are you the sponsor or applicant?
Is sponsor Canadian Citizen or PR?
What city is the applicant located?

approval was given on May 2015
im applicant my wife in Montreal sponsored me
