Is International License made from Pakistan valid in British Columbia?
Can we take the class 5 road test immediately if Pakistani driving license verified is many years old?

I am from Ontario. But I can tell you, your international driving permit in English will be valid here.

my wife got her passport request today. Very condfused about the Updated Chart form. Do i a canadian citizen need to be added on in the box of "spouse". She will be travelling alone from Pak.

Congratulations for PPR....

As other colleagues rightly suggested, spouse (principal applicant) need not to mention the name of sponsor in the updated chart form/Appendix A.

But some time we do have reservations so the wise choice over here is that print the form twice; once mentioning the name of sponsor and at the other time leaving it blank. It will only cost an additional print and burden to carry an extra page but resolve all worries what so ever. (Its only in case one is highly CONCERNED about filling or leaving the column vacant :'()

I just got married in December, 2014 and applied for my wife's sponsorship to Canada in May, 2015.

CIC Mississauga received my documents May 4, 2015
Started processing application on May 29, 2015
File moved to London, UK office on June 30, 2015.

I have been hearing different stories that ever since the Family Sponsorship office has been moved to London, UK, the processing time has been decreased tremendously and sponsored individuals have been receiving their Landing Documents within 12-16 months. How true is that?

Each case varies from person to person and dealt individually. Though its been observed that LVO is processing cases rapidly, but sunny sunaye bato pe yaqeen nahi kertey

Also, Can you apply for a visiting visa for your spouse once the Sponsorship Application is in progress?

I have gone through different threads where sponsors succeeded in seeking visiting visas for their spouses though most of them failed in the process. But again, each case varies from person to person. If you have a convincing file which can satisfy the visa officer, CHANCES are always higher.

Lastly, after you have submitted your Sponsorship Application and you visit your spouse (be it in Pakistan or both husband and wife meet somewhere else), should the immigration office be contacted to update them with the proofs of recent visit?

Its always good idea to update the visa officer with things which strengthen or favors your application

For those who have submitted the passports . The 2 pics they require , do they need stamps on the back . it doesnt say anytjing about that. So we figured to send 4 pics 2 with stamp and 2 with out and write the required info on the back. Is this 0k?

Why IOM clinic call you again to repeat the chest Xray?? any idea

There could be quite a few reasons; its not clear enough for evaluation, older report damaged/lost/misplaced, any doubt in the physician's mind which he/she wants to resolve by repeating it, or so on so forth.

But if you have been recalled for the one, need not to panic. If I were you, I must consider to have the opinion of some prominent radiologist in the town and ask for his opinion before appearing for repeat X-ray.

Some people are of the opinion that drinking milk is better if you are appearing for chest X-ray, especially if you smoke.

(Its not wise to expose yourself to too much radiation)

Just attach two pictures and write the applicant's name as written on passport and your application number. That's all. The instructions are given in the email, read it carefully.

Hi everyone!

I wanted to know if I should send an updated family info form along with our childs birth crrtificate? When I emailed lvo about pregnancy, they just said to send birth certificate but I saw on the forum that people also send family info form.

Secondly, I sent them additional documents (call logs, pics, etc) in june after my visit to Pakistan. Should i send them more proof when i send the birth certificate? For example call logs after june?

Just attach two pictures and write the applicant's name as written on passport and your application number. That's all. The instructions are given in the email, read it carefully.

Though Einstein said that "Everything that counts cannot be necessarily counted", but at CIC I must say that every thing counts. The VO processing your file is a human being and the way you present your file in front of him/her, counts a lot. The more coherent, convincing and easy to apprehend your file is (needless to mention that it need to contain all the necessary forms and appendixes), more are its chances to be processed on expedite grounds.

Having said that, in my opinion there is no harm to include the call logs and updated family information form. I suggest its better to prepare some appealing and eye-catching cover letter along with the said items as well.

I keep hearing tht sending emails to lvo or requesting gcms notes delays the application process. Is this true?? Ive already emailed them twice and will have to do it again! Hope this is not true
