Hi members,

A question..
If the baby is born outside canada (if one spouse is citizen while the other is PR), will he be canadian?
Also note that, in our case, Canadian spouse is not a Canadian by birth but by NATURALIZATION.

yea the baby will be a canadian.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Question regarding: visit visa

The file is in london, has been for a few months.

I have gone back to see my wife a few times during the process.

I was wondering if she applied for a visit visa, would it negatively affect the immigration process ?

I would think so, however, check CIC website.

Apply for their citizenship certificate(proof of citizenship) through Islamabad office..and then a limited validity passport if the child is determined to be Canadian by descent

If the child is born outside Canada after April 17, 2009, and at least one of the parents was naturalized in Canada before the birth - if this applies then child may be Canadian

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

anyone applied for a visitor visa? please help needed

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

For anyone wondering if a rejected visitors visa is going to negatively impact their sponsorship.. It isn't. i called CIC and asked them. She told me it is 2 different applications so it doesn't affect the sponsorship at all if the trv gets refused.

AoA sister,

My wife just applied for the TRV last month. We submitted our PR application in Oct 2014. The forms required to be filled for TRV are alot easier and straightforward. I would recommend that you fill out the forms together with your husband and have him submit the application through Visa Application Center (VAC) in Pakistan (three locations: Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad). Don't submit online application. I had a friend who submitted twice online for his wife and rejected both times. Was approved the third time when his wife applied through VAC in Pakistan. I had my wife also apply from VAC in Lahore.

Anyways, when you do have your husband apply for TRV, make sure you include the following in the package:
- IMM 5257
- IMM 5645
- IMM 5257
- IMM 5484 (aka checklist)
- Husband's Pakistani Passport
- Fee payment receipt (payable at Standard Chartered Bank; submit proof/receipt)
- Proof of financial support (Western Union/Moneygram receipts etc) Would suggest sending your husband's bank statement.
- Copy of your Sponsorship Approval letter
- Copy of your Canadian Passport (all pages including blanks)
- Your Letter of Employment (doesn't hurt to include; you don't want the Visa Officer to feel that your husband will become a liability for Canadian Gov't at any time)
- Recommended: Cover Letter - explain why your husband wants to visit you (upcoming baby), give pledge that you will cover all his costs or that he has sufficient funds to cover his stay, mention length of his stay in Canada and give a reason that he will be returning to Pakistan after his stay, mention where he will be staying during his visit to Canada, mention that you will be covering medical insurance expenses for duration of his stay
- Copy of Doctor's letter regarding your pregnancy (I would think this will help)
- Anything else you can think of that may help your case.
- No need to include photos as the VAC will take photo when he gives his biometrics

Based on current processing times, you are looking at upwards of 72 day turnaround but I have heard as quick as 40 days.

Best of luck!

Can my husband show his parent's bank statement?

Call logs, fb messages, whatsapp texts, any screenshots taken during skype etc. If sponsor visited the applicant, then entry exit stamps or boarding pass or tickets. Any pix taken together during the visit. Gift receipts. Proof if any money sent.

But if I print everything that can be abt 250 to 300 pages or more from all the resources.

I am currently going through this process as I am a Canadian citizen and the baby is born in Pakistan.
I am applying for the baby's citizenship certificate thru CHC Islamabad.
First, had to get Hospital Birth Certificate.
Then apply for Nadra Birth Certificate.
Then apply for B-Form at Nadra Swift Registration Centre.
You need to fill and submit the citizenship application form.
Submit original birth certificate or Citizenship certificate of the Canadian parent.
Submit Nadra Birth Certificate and either B-Form or FRC of baby. (B-Form is easier because you need the B-Form as a prerequisite for FRC and I don't want to waste more time to get FRC).
Make payment to the listed standard charter bank branch and enclose proof of payment slip.
I have the email from CHC Islamabad if you want further info just send me a PM.
The process can take 8 - 10 months.

Applicants should not wait till last stage to pay the RPRF, pay it as soon as possible, best is to do it once when applying.
