AOA all,

I am just starting the sponsorship process for my wife and filling up forms for "Part 1: Sponsorship forms". In the Document Checklist [IMM 5491] it lists ALL the documents and forms I need for all the steps of sponsorship but for this step I only need the documents and forms listed under "Sponsor" right?

You need to have ALL the forms printed out. They all need to be submitted to CPC Mississauaga.

I got the file number and UCI today but I cant check my online status. Is this a problem?

Not a problem. It takes them some time to update the system.
Try next week, you should not have a problem.

You need to have ALL the forms printed out. They all need to be submitted to CPC Mississauaga.

If the documents are complete u will get passport request..soon in sha Allah... Remedical means now they are working on your application. What does the e case status shows?

Online is not updated since my first medical which was long time back. No Update since than. I had filled my application through a lawyer based in Vancouver. Can he get the status checked? if so than how?

I am worried as its been 45 days since i got my second medical and there is no update.

When lawyers are involved i am a bit doubtful. Please talk to your mp and simultaneously order atip notes as well. We have seen cases where the lawyer did not communicate the client about additional document requirements, and case got rejected. Ordering notes will take 30 days to get to know whats happening.. Talking to mp will take a week or 10,15 days to know the status..
Dont worry about the online status.. My e case status didnt change till feb 2015. Many visa officers dont update it till the last steps of processing.. But to be on a safe side i would suggest u to inquire about it via mp..

Please give the names of the countries where your sponsor has resided, your sponsor's complete address(es), and telephone number(s) in these countries, as well as period of residence at each address Since the time your sponsorship application was submitted

what should be the answer? does it means all the addresses even before the submission of file? any idea?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering whether ecas would show anything under the applicant once the file is transferred. For my spouse, all it shows is the application was received and medicals have been received as well and I have been approved as a sponsor. Is the next update only going to be there when they start processing the application?
