Hi guys,
I am going to apply for my husband in a month or so and we are just starting to look at the application process. Seems daunting to say the least.
This might be a really dumb question but here it goes: He didn't change the status on his CNIC after we got married and went to apply for a Pakistani passport. His marital status is still single on the passport application. Should he reapply or its fine because the marital status isn't listed on the passport itself?

I have bitter experience of having marital status single despite being married. It revealed on me that I was still single in NADRA data base when my wife went to apply for B form for my new born baby. NADRA officials told my wife, your husband's marital status would first change from single to married in order to apply for child's B form. Being In Canada I contacted the consulate of Pakistan in Vancouver for advise. They told you need to apply to get a new NICOP with modifications. It took 5 months to process my NICOP application. I applied in first week of Feb 2015 and got my NICOP in last week of June 2015. After that I was able to get B form of my baby. So, it is better to have the status married.

I didn't listen before about it .
I will confirm form Nadra official.

I suggest you to change your merital status as soon as possible as it may cause delay in your process...for smooth and early process, please change your merital status first as my lawyer had told me that it is necessary...

My Status on ecas says Decision Made but nothing has changed when I click on the link. Can the decision be negative or do they not change the status if the application is rejected.

i ordered them. but i wont get them just yet - maybe late april. i guess u might as well can go ahead & order them just to see what has been done to ur file while we're stuck waiting for DM. they come in about a month.

if ur the sponsor, & ordering on behalf of ur spouse (cause it's now their file & info, we sponsor's are pretty much done after the SA) there is a CONSENT form u need them to sign for u so, here is what you need to do:

get ur spouse (applicant) to fill, print & sign out this form: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5744.asp
they only need to fill out sections 1(PR's deets), 3(sponsor's info), & 4.
once done, ask em to scan it & email it back to u! then when you go to apply for the notes (first link), you'll get a chance to upload attachments, and that's when u upload the scanned form they sent you.
P.S. there is a fee of $5 for ordering notes (if ur the sponsor orderin for the applicant)

It's been 3 weeks now m still waiting for DM after remedical!!!
Really Frustrating !!!

Permanent Residence

1. We received XXXXXXXX application for permanent residence on February 1, 2016.
2. We started processing XXXXXXXXXX application on March 24, 2016.

It doesn't show medical results and we did upfront medical. I know ECAS is very inconsistent but medical results are usually up there even before the third line of processing gets added. Should I be concerned? I sent in the E-Medical proof/receipt with the file. Should I send in a Case Specific Inquiry and attach the e-medical receipt to it? Or do I wait and see.

Thanks for all members here who supports each other, I always used to see posts and helped me too.
Now i need help pls comment your experince.
I had Intw on 8th march 2016 in Islamabad, in the interview day my police certificate was not ready and officer told me to send the scan copy via email to london visa office as soon as its ready, on 9th i got and send via email the scan copy, but its 20th days waiting no response from them, can anyone help me and tell if they need the orignal as well? as the officer told me hard copy/orignal she dont required only scan copy is OK, but i heard without orignal they wont release visa. but im confuse why office said no need? pls help me.

ECAS is not very reliable in updating - they might already have ur meds, just not updated it on there yet.
when i filed my app, i didnt know about this forum so thankfully i guess sometimes i think ignorance is bliss, lol i had no idea i even had to look out for that or how many days it took for it to appear (i really dont rmber even tbh i just saw & was happy that ok they got the meds etc)
i just got one email for SA/AOR. some people dont even get a seperate SA email, like me.
just wait yo. ECAS is kinda slow in updating stuff. they defo have ur meds if u did em upfront. dw too much!! when did u do them tho?
