Congrats MASHA ALLAH . my wife also submitted her passports yesterday. Can you please tell us how much time it took from the day you sent your passports to Islamabad.??

hi everyone.
when i got aproval in email they said (below)

(You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent
Residence for your relative has been forwarded to the visa office in London for further processing)

my question is . is my appliction in process or they will email us to update status of my application "in process"
m confused ??? anwer me plzzz???

You are approved as sponsor and file transferred to LVO now your spouse case of permanent has been started LVO will contact you if they required any other document wait and be patient if they will not ask any other documents your spouse will be decision made and embassy will send request for passport submission.

Finally someone got the passport back .. Its so frustrating .. Medical is expiring this month ..

Hello everyone,

I received AOR on 1st December and when I logged in there I saw that they started processing my (Sponsor's) application on 30th Nov. How many days it takes to transfer file to LVO from the day of start of process of sponsor's application?

Lol InshaAllah but only if life worked that way. A few other issues to resolve before then. BTW We submitted the passport on Nov 19. For once we didn't have to grovel for a task to be done.

You really need to be patient now... You just got your AOR. Wait for the SA and then wait for the Applicant's section to become in Process. It can take another 5ish months is all goes well inshallah.

Keep looking at the timeline... You will get a better idea of where they are at

Try to land in the city where you will be staying. As you may know if you have a local connection e.g. you land in Montreal and then you have a local flight to Ottawa. Your immigration will be done in Montreal also you have to take your luggage out from one carousal and take it to another.

For the first timer I would recommend to land directly in the city where you will be staying just to avoid this one step.

Unfortunately, Surrey(BC) has no direct flights. . It is another province, I hope I don't have to go through this process which you just mentioned.

You can land in Vancouver and then drive to Surrey . wouldn't that be fun .? Everyone have to go through it. The city you land from coming from outside Canada is where your immigration will be done and you have to pick up your luggage from one carousal and take it to another( domestic). If you land directly then you will be free to go home after the immigration after taking your luggage.
Then try to make sure you have enough time between the connection atleast.

The problem is a little deeper than this.

1.. I informed CIC that I will be accompanied by my sponsoring party (she came here through Qatar airways return ticket through Dallas)
2.. I don't have transit visa so all I can do is to reserve a seat through montreal (montreal is the only most direct route in qatar airways) and have my wife rescheduled through this route with me (I hope qatar airways allows route changing as part of rescheduling)
3.. I will have at most 3 hours between Montreal to vancouver flight, will it be enough to check in at canadian port of entry and be able to get the next flight?
