No one can say exactly how long it will take. You can check the spreadsheet on gollowing link to get an idea

From what i see on the spreadsheet, in process to decision made takes around a month or 2. For a few people it has taken longer than that.

bhai meray, no one knows how long!! That's the mystery still unsolved. My re medical (extension) was done 7 months ago still nothing not even in process. There are ppl who been in process for over 4/5 months still nothing. There are ppl who got ppr a day after e case changed to in process. So literally there is no answer to this. If you read through this forum you will know what I'm talking about.
Yahan jis ka visa lag jata hy woh CIC k head say bhi zeada knowledgeable feel kerta hy jinka Nahi lagta woh jae namaaz say hi Nahi uth'tay. So all you can do it be patient,read forum threads & hope for the best.

Salaams, went to check ecas today and saw that it says "Not Available" under the Permanent Resident Application Status which I've never heard of. It was just changed to "In Process" this week and that's what it said when I checked it 2 days ago. Has anyone seen this before or knows what it means?

What's your timeline?
If its been 11 months or so and you haven't heard anything back from them you can submit a case specific enquiry to LVO at:

Actually, as per CIC website, their required proof of intent to return could be either copy of apartment lease, job letter or college admission letter etc. or if you have none of the above then write a comprehensive plan that how you and your family will settle in Canada.

In my case as a sponsor, I have been living with my wife (PA) since 2006. I came back to Pakistan to get married and from then due to different reasons could not returned to Canada. Kids were born and they got their Citizenships cards and passports etc. But eventually applied for wife only last year. I had nothing such proofs so I and she both wrote detailed plans separately and attached correspondence with friends that they will assist us in settling in Canada. Also we attached copies of correspondence with YMCA, Toronto School Board, rentals, job hunters local volunteer organizations etc.

So if you can return to Canada before your PA comes then provide the things you have mentioned they will certainly help you in the case.

I have sponsored my husband since June 2014, came back from Pakistan to Canada on 2nd August , after one year. My husband' s case is sent to Islamabad for interview, now my dilemma is staying in Canada until his interview or I can go back, since it's hard to live alone . Ny advice for me ??

Nobody trying to ignore. It's that nobody knows.
You can try looking at the spreadsheet for general trends.
Also, if you want to know how much work the visa office has done or the notes recorded from VO then you should order GCMS notes.

GIK...just want to ask this question. ....I hired lawyer so if re medical for next step will I see update on cic website as well or as usual my lawyer will call me or email me. So do they just email you or they do both update and email ?
