i am a bit confused , i hope someone would be able to help and would answer my questions. I am a permanent resident and want to sponsor my husband he is working in saudi but we are from pak. So pakistan application processing time is very long like 33 months .. so we were thinking since he is living and working in saudi we should put the visa processing office of abu dhabi as the processing time for that is 15 months . and riyadh applications for sponsorship are processed in abu dhabi so i have to put abu dhabi office in the forms right ?

yeah use abu dhabi as address.....ask him to make sure he has visa/status in saudi arabia at least for the duration of the process.

yeah he has .. because all my in laws live there so he has been living in saudi his entire life . thanks for the reply

Visa office is assigned by the nationality of the applicant, right ? Since no one can become a Saudi shouldn't the visa office be Islamabad/London?

1)HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GE MY ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS BACK??
2) HOW CAN I KNOW STATUS OF MY APPLICATION ? THEY HAVNT UPDATED MY APPLICATION.?
I APPLIED ON 16TH MAY 2014 NO REPLY,.,,,

1.Very long as they need them to access your application [that is why they asked for the docs in the first place]
2.Order notes and it has only been 2 months since your first stage.
3.Stop using all caps, its rude and annoying.

my case refused due to following reason:

133. (1) A sponsorship application shall only be approved by an officer if, on the day on which the application was filed and from that day until the day a decision is made with respect to the application, there is evidence that the sponsor
(g) subject to paragraph 137 (c) is not in default of
(i) any undertaking

you have the option to select the office of your citizenship or where you are residing.

The applicant can select what they want doesn't necessarily mean it will be processed there[this loophole would have been used&abused enough for everyone to know about it]. Will be interesting to know a Pakistani who was actually able to get application processed anywhere other than Isb[now London].

Edit: It turns out if you have lived in a country[other than your nationality] legally for a year[not sure about continuous one year or having a visa status for a year counts] you can apply for that visa office.

Sorry to see your case denied on a technicality, they should have advised you of this during the 1st stage of sponsorship approval.

is ur case refused at 1st stage,,if so did ur husband clear all due's before application submission or after submission,,,,

if ur case is denied at 1st stage then its better to re-apply then appeal,,appeal take long time plus more money

my case is rejected on 2nd stage, and husband cleared all dues after submission. cuz we were not aware that she availed social benefits

its like that they sent sponsorship rejection in july 2013 and informed us that his previous wife has availed social benefits . my husband has cleared all dues and wrote bak to cic in feb 2014. now we got refusal letter. my ecas status changed to decision made in PR.
