i can't imagine a missing urdu nikkah nama being the sole reason for an interview. order a new set of notes and also send them a CSE. they will respond to the latter and let you know whether you're still in the interview queue. perhaps also follow up with your MP and ask them specifically to find out whether they still need an interview.

What does it mean when lines are whited out?

Hi Guys. Hoping if you could help me understand where my application is now.

This is all in the ECAS:

Sponsorship Application Status "In Process":
We received your application to sponsor "Wife name" on November 1, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on November 3, 2016.
We started processing your application on November 2, 2016.
We sent you correspondence on November 9, 2016 about the decision on your application. (This correspondence stated that "you have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor" and "application for permanent residence has been forwarded to visa office in London".

Wife permanent residence application status "In process":
We received "Wife name" application for permanent residence on November 1, 2016.
We started processing "Wife" application on November 17, 2016.
Medical results have been received.


Does this mean that the stage 2 process for my wife has started on Nov 17th. And now it will take 11-14 months for everything to be processed?

Yes, Stage 1 has completed. Stage 2 started from 17th November. IA will be completed much before 11-14 months. Do you wanted to be added to our spreadsheet? (See link in my signature)

Yes for sure. Additional information: I am a canadian citizen sponsoring my wife. Medical was done before sending the application package. 1st October. It showed as "In Process" in ECAS on Nov 9th .

This is Ridiculous.if they are fully satisfied then why they are asking for the interview.contact your MP as soon as possible so that you can get some more information..praying for you.

I second that frustration. Why?? Like what's the reason. You go for visits and have done all functions so what's the reason for the interview :'(

Honestly, I don't get it. In my notes, it's clearly stated that they are satisfied with our marriage, the events (based on 200 people who attended and have provided pictures), our clothes were according to the cultural norm, we were comfortable with each other in the pictures, provided multiple pictures of various events with our kid, my Passport proves that I've done the visits, consistent communication. The notes doesn't say anywhere that I need to be interviewed or they are suspicious or there's something fishy. Just the first page indicates that I'm the Group for Islamabad's interview. Can I get it waived somehow by providing more evidence? But what more can I provide?

I've sent an email to my MP, waiting for her call-back.

They will definately ask you for police certificate if u stayed in any country for more than 6 months.

No, according to CIC website you dont have to provide police certificates for Saudi Arabia if you are non Saudi living outside of Canada. The CIC website also states that if some visa office ask you, then you should just write that olice certificate cannot be provided as they are not available for non saudi citizens outside Saudia".
Any one receiving request fro London visa office police certifcates for Saudia when an individual is not residing in Saudia any more. ?
