i just got a reply from my PM that "
In regards to your spousal sponsorship application, the update our office received from IRCC was that they are still working on the eligibility of your wife. Her security and criminality checks are also still pending. If they require any additional documents, they will contact you.
Regular processing time from Pakistan is approximately 25 months from the date your application is received. Unfortunately, there is very little our office can do to expedite a file within regular IRCC processing time.
So basically because its only been a year i still have to wait another ONE YEAR before i can get any information. On top of that i did a case specific inquiry which was around 2 weeks ago still no answer.
i also sent an email to the LVO office which they were very prompt and send a reply in 2 days WOW amazing. My question to them was that my Wife Medical would be expiring in Nov 2016. Below is the reply which i had received
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your email.
Please be advised that your spouse’s medical is valid until January 4th, 2017. If her application is not finalised a couple of months before her medical expires, we can request a medical reassessment from our medical office. If granted, she will receive an email from the medical office in New Delhi with instructions. There is no action required from her at this time.

so either it was extended for 2 months or i dont understand how a medical which was done in nov could expire in jan ? weird ... but the other thing is that if they dont finalize the application which is still taking a long time they can ask for another medical. This would be the 3rd medical !!!!!! shouldnt we be getting reimbursements for all these so called UPFRONT MEDICALs they ask for. I had sent an UPFRONT medical with the initial application ( in Dec 2015) and after i was asked to send another UPFRONT medical for my wife which was last year in November 2016. Now they are saying that they could ask for a 3rd.
Medicals arent cheap in pakistan.
