Hello guys, I have a news from VO, today I received an e-mail asking to redo my medical exam (the last one it expired last month)...on October 4th my application will achieve 13 months (this is the maxim waiting time for my VO)...do you think is a good sign or not??...Do you think they can still refuse me after this stage ???????

Need some information from you. You PM me that visa office send you 12 June interview query email and later you faced your interview 26 July 2016. Is it right? Can you write your interview query letter what visa office mention in your interview query letter? You also write that visa office did not mention any time for your interview.

I received the in person 12 June. In the letter VO mention that my application is in their interview queue and in the next contact they will let me know the date and place for my interview. On 18 july i received a phone call which was from Canadian High Commission, the officer told me that they want to update my application and give the schedule 26 july at 2pm. After that no response till now :'(

im a canadian citizen that got married in bangladesh last year and applied for my wife to come to Canada. On august 26. We got a letter stating that her file has been placed in the interview queue. Just wanted to know how long of a wait we should expect for an interview. Both first time marriage.

As the Govt. is trying reduction of processing time for spousal sponsorship, you may expect call within six months or even earlier! Please prepare well to face the interview. Get the GCMS notes to find out what motivated them to decide for an interview?

Getting notes is very easy and pretty much self explanatory in CIC website:

https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/requesterInformation

The sponsor will apply online on behalf of the applicant by submitting a consent form. The applicant will fill up the consent form, sign and send to the sponsor. CIC will deliver by email within 30 days.

Someone here denied even after PPR when the sponsor contacted CIC to withdraw the application due to mere household dispute. Next day the sponsor approached CIC again to restore....They put the applicant in interview que...the applicant is still waiting. So you never know until you are landed finally with a visa stamp.

If you check this thread you will be able to know what are the reasons people get interview.

Some of these reasons are:

1) Big age gap
2) Previous marriage, divorce
3) Quick marriage
4) Not enough relationship proofs
5) Interfaith marriage
6) Different cultures, languages
7) Misrepresentation
8) Past PR who lost status due to non fulfilment of residency obligation
9) Absence of reasonable cohabition
