Can you please tell me your red flags? Why they put you in queue?
9 years age gap

Met 1 month after previous common law relationship ended

Married on second visit, 10 months after meeting

Her family is Muslim. My family is non religious

Interfaith marriage is illegal in Indonesia. I converted to Islam to marry my wife

Are you not planning to live with your wife in Indonesia for a couple of months before interview?

Are you considering sending additional proofs of ongoing communication?

Do you think your conversion of religion has anything to do with the interview? But that should be rather a plus point in favour of your application...isn't it?

Hasan
I will go to visit and try to take a couple extra weeks unpaid leave. We will then process the visa. I will then return to visit in the next calendar year and attend her interview with her.

I sent proof of ongoing communication twice already in the form of screenshots of our Whatsapp calls showing all info and usually calls upwards of an hour or two as well as screenshots of our Messenger video calls. I sent this two weeks before being placed in queue. I also sent proof of financial support as I send money via western union every two weeks like clock work to my wife. It's so ridiculous that the workers at the wu I go to know me by name and have my phone number memorized. I don't even have to say anything I simply pass over the cash and they tell me how much my wife gonna get..

I'm still waiting for my gcms notes to see.

I guess we might run into each other in the interview waiting room. We are:
7 years age diff (I am older -- this is common in my wife's home country).
Also married second visit after chatting for a long period online (everyday).
She is Orthodox, I am non-practising anglican.

Look deeafahd, everything depends on the processing officials of the visa office to determine if the relationship is genuine and marriage for convenience is not taking place. Age gap was certainly a big red flag for you but luckily the processing officials have convinced without doubt that your relationship is genuine and decided to go ahead with approval. I believe you have sent a complete and well organized application with all possible relationship proofs.

Hasan
To be honest with you at the time we sent the application we did not know it will be so hard since we are married lol so we did not send a lot of proof just 20 file of skype chat and calls (even though we had hundreds , 20 picture from our civil wedding and from before we got married, few western receipts and tickets from when my husband visited me and that is not a lot , he visted me a week after he left and after 2 month he visited me for one month and we also got married)...but after we found this thread and other we send many other proofs so that might helped

Hope everything will work out nicely at the end and you will overcome all difficulties successfully. At least you are going to live with your wife for a considerable period to prove that you guys are seriously in deep relationship. Stay positive.

I am sorry to hear that they refused you based on these red flags....my application was quite weak with red flag as I said above...28 yrs age gap, he is divorce with 2 kids (I am in early 20 as your wife) , he is catholic I orthodox (that should not affect us), we met online and the same like you married at second visit.

Sorry ...I correct myself...I am sorry you got in interview queue since I know it could be another long wait :( but hopefully you can waive it...my advice for you would be to move with your wife and send them so many proof !! It really helps when sponsor move with their spouse believe me ...my husband lived 7 months with me after we got married (we are still waiting since a year but there seems to working on my file) , in case they would refuse us my husband certainly will moved with me forever.

It's pretty much the same for us too.

I'm almost 11 years older than my wife.
As mentioned my wife is an IDP in her country. She wasn't an IDP when we started talking, that happened during the development of our relationship.
I chatted with my wife for almost six months before we met. For months I couldn't actually get to her to meet her in person.
We married on the second visit. There was some complications here. At the time they thought the "border" would be closed between separatist held region and Ukrainian government held territory and my wife wanted her mom to come to the wedding. Her parents still live in the separatist zone. We got married in November, instead of the following March.
My wife is Orthodox, I am not really religious but I suppose I identify more closely to Catholic. We were married in a municipal civil ceremony.

There may be other things I'm missing, like she was married once before and I never have been married before.

Did your husband's company allow him to work remotely or did he find a remote online job once he moved there?
