If you check this thread you will be able to know what are the reasons people get interview.

Some of these reasons are:

1) Big age gap
2) Previous marriage, divorce
3) Quick marriage
4) Not enough relationship proofs
5) Interfaith marriage
6) Different cultures, languages
7) Misrepresentation
8) Past PR who lost status due to non fulfilment of residency obligation
9) Absence of reasonable cohabition

Hasan
thanks for your information.☺

Our case was pretty straight forward, still ended up in queue.

htquach case even more straight forward as he quit his job and moved to Vietnam a year ago to live with his wife.. still on the queue.

Check whether you have any red flags as listed above.

But sometimes you never know what prompts them to schedule an interview even if you have a straight forward application...apparently! Every case is unique! Stay focused with lots of positivity.

Good luck!

Someone here denied even after PPR when the sponsor contacted CIC to withdraw the application due to mere household dispute. Next day the sponsor approached CIC again to restore....They put the applicant in interview que...the applicant is still waiting. So you never know until you are landed finally with a visa stamp.

Hasan
Thank you for your answer Hassan but here is not the same case!! My sponsor, husband would never do such a thing.
The thing is that there are 28 yrs age gap between us , he also have previous marriage with 2 kids so I really thought they are gonna put us in the interview queue.
For my VO the waiting time is 13 months and I almost achieve this time and recently they ask me to re do my medical which I did, then 2 days later I received another email from them asking me for a new police certificate.
Hassan, or everybody else what do you think is the next step ????????????? thx a lot

PPR is next.

They wouldn't request the med and PCC otherwise.

I hope you right and we win even with 28 yrs gap!!!
My husband, the sponsor is actually living with me and working remotely from here. He got a resident visa for 1 year in my country to be able to stay here longer than 3 month within 6 months as it s the law, so we believe that this really help a lot our application and prove that our relation is genuine

Are you not planning to live with your wife in Indonesia for a couple of months before interview?

Are you considering sending additional proofs of ongoing communication?

Do you think your conversion of religion has anything to do with the interview? But that should be rather a plus point in favour of your application...isn't it?

Look deeafahd, everything depends on the processing officials of the visa office to determine if the relationship is genuine and marriage for convenience is not taking place. Age gap was certainly a big red flag for you but luckily the processing officials have convinced without doubt that your relationship is genuine and decided to go ahead with approval. I believe you have sent a complete and well organized application with all possible relationship proofs.
