The visa office will know about your interview result at the end of the September because in this summer you and like you many other applicant case will reviewed one officer.

You have to wait for your interview result at least end of the September.

ooo gosh its long time do you think its good sign or what ? im really so worry dont know whats going on why need to wait that long really its so terrible..... dont know what to do cz my medical will be expire soon on 15 aug 2016 .....

The email seems like not you ,many other applicant are the same situation espically who face the interview in this summer. The file load is too much that why it needs time. If your medical expire you have to do again your re-medical or if visa office extend your medical that’s a very good news for you.

Zaheed vai. Hasan vai and Javed are very lucky because they got every request very fast. I hope you will get your passport request very soon. It is not a bad sign but it is very painful to wait for any request.

ya me too also waiting for reply my wife already emailed spore.immigration@international.gc.ca its been a week and i havent got any reply farhana apa is there any other email address i can use for case specific inquery after my inteview almost 5 week passed and i emailed them almost a week no reply even though interview went well but...i don know how long i have to wait for decision

Hello firehand,

Yes it is Singapore visa office email address. 5 weeks left it means 1 month 7 days. I think you should wait more 3 weeks. Sometime visa office takes time 8 weeks. If you do not get any result please get a GCMS note. Hope it will help you. If you not satisfy with that you can ECAS about your interview information.

dear farhana today morning i emailto immigraiton about my condition of my file and after two hour they reply me .could u please tell me whats that mean pls.thank you Thank you for your enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.



Please note that due to administrative priorities and the major surge of visa applications during this summer, this application and a number of other cases in the same category, will likely be reviewed by an officer by the end of September.

Hi Juwel,

The HC letter is pretty much self explanatory. They gave you a general waiting time consequent upon recent mounted pressure on receiving so many applications during this summer. If your interview was good, take it easy and you will get a positive result...sooner or later.

Meanwhile please get your GCMS notes to see if everything is okay.

i think yes, going to be delayed many applicants process. atleast they let to know us that immigration officers are bz this summer for workload. i wonder NDVO is more bz than SVO but quicker.

It is really unusual to hold the files for so many months after interview! Hope the situation will be improved in the near future commensurate with the affirmative immigration policies of the Justin Government...

Now a day Canadian spousal permanent residence visa under Singapore office is fast. They call applicant for interview and give them result very fast. In my case interview to other process take total 2 month. I did my interview march 14 and the visa office gave me Visa May 13 total 2month. Other applicant got their visa very quick.

If applicant do well in his/her interview I think there is no worry about anything. I believed juwelsingh interview went very well and he will get visa.so every applicant case is different and their waiting time is different. After interview passport requests depends on background check.

Hi all

I was wondering if someone can help! We had our interview in April 2016 and passed. I got a DNA request in June me and my daughter did our samples here in Canada in June but are still waiting for CIC New Delhi to send a letter for my husband so he can do his sampling as well. Any clue how long this takes its been 2 months already. I did an MP enquiry but no response yet, should I order notes? This wait is really killing me.

Hello Raz3,

Nice to read about your interview. Your interview went well and passed. Sometime visa office has file load and it is viewed by officer. If you request GCMS note it will only inform you about your interview situation. You know your interview result is positive. So GCMS note will only inform you about your interview story but what is your future condition it will you know from ECAS. You can Ecas or email your visa office to know about interview result.

GCMS note will help applicant to find out his/her weak point, red flag and comment of the officer. I hope you will get letter from visa office for your husband DNA test.

While your applications is awaiting interview, we will not accept, respond to, or attach to your file any correspondence, except : change of address or contact information, including change of email address; change of representative; change of marital status or family composition; request for withdrawal of your application.”


I would like to question all senior member of this forum like Hasan Vai and ImABlue—

My question is----

In my interview pending letter the visa office clearly mention that they will not accept any correspond of applicant accept change of home address, email address , martial status and request for withdraw application.

If visa office is not accept any correspondence why people send additional documents like marriage proof. If they not accept any correspondence it means they will not accept any additional marriage proof.

So to send additional proof it is wise or not because the visa office clearly mention they will not accept applicant correspondence.

If my wife receives an interview request I would bombard them with additional proofs regardless of them saying they won't accept it, and possibly go live with her in Indonesia.

I have seen people have their interviews waived after providing more proofs, including an applicant from Thailand where the sponsor quit his job and moved to Thailand when they got the interview letter.

Our application was over 5kg and I have submitted more proofs voluntarily twice already.
