Whoa. Recieved my owp in the mail today. So glad the condition didn’t say not allowed to work in health care. Yay!
Lucky you! How come yours has no restrictions whereas my wife’s does. My wife’s OWP condition says NOT allowed to work in health services field. But I’m thinking it’s more for nurses and doctors. Can she work in an office setting (no association with patients)?

Mine was approved last week April 12. Got the owp in the mail today April 18.
My wife just got her OWP today (exactly one week) and obtained her SIN number as well.

Is your medical done for PR?. My wife had same issue with being a teacher. 4-6 weeks after her medical for PR was recieved by CIC. We drove to the border in alberta-montana. They updated her visa and removed restrictions in 5 mins. No additional cost or re-application. The medical was in their system. They destroyed the previous visa and printed a new one without restriction. It was that simple. She still hasn't got her PR and working as a teacher now.
Thank you so much. This helps a lot. My wife has restrictions on her OWP. We’ll wait till she’s done her med exam then Go to the border like you’ve done.

I have a question. Did you apply for another work permit to remove the restrictions? I'm still contemplating whether I would or wait for my PR bec I also work in the healthcare field but currently on maternity leave.
I read in another thread that a couple had restrictions removed just by driving to the border (not flagpoling) and the border officer updated the OWP visa and removed the restrictions. They destroyed the previous visa and printed a new one for them because they had the medical in the system. No additional costs or reapplication. I’ll be doing that for my wife’s OWP to lift her restrictions after she’s done with medical exam.

Yeah she can as long as not in healthcare. My work is in line with healthcare. I do not know why it doesn’t have a healthcare restriction. Just got really lucky I guess.

OK, this was unexpected. Talk about speed!

We only got our medicals passed about a week and a bit ago. Yesterday we get the Eligibility Passed letter. We were super stoked thinking that the end is near, maybe a couple of months of waiting left!

Then today, we get the landing interview letter for next week in our email! MyCIC doesnt show any update, but ECAS both show everything as Decision Made. It has been exactly 13 months since we submitted, and about 12.5 months since AOR.

Our timeline was probably drawn out by 6 weeks since we deferred the medical XRay as we were expecting a baby. If not for that, it would seem that IRCC is cranking out inland application decisions right on the 12 months promised timeline. We did not get SA. After Meds went straight to AIP, then now the landing interview letter.

Yup, a few pages back someone replied to one of my posts and I'm still waiting for the details about how they did it. We're not close to the border but willing to drive down just to get the restrictions off.

They already explained how they did it. My wife and I were discussing that we might stop by at a major airport as they have immigration office there and might remove restriction from there instead of having to drive all the way to the border.
