Yes someone from October 2 2017 got hers yesterdayReally ? Good am am November applicant hopefully get out soon too
Lucky you! How come yours has no restrictions whereas my wife’s does. My wife’s OWP condition says NOT allowed to work in health services field. But I’m thinking it’s more for nurses and doctors. Can she work in an office setting (no association with patients)?Whoa. Recieved my owp in the mail today. So glad the condition didn’t say not allowed to work in health care. Yay!
I’m puzzled why my wife’s OWP has restrictions and yours doesn’t.Nope I didn’t but I don’t have a restriction to work in healthcare.
My wife just got her OWP today (exactly one week) and obtained her SIN number as well.Mine was approved last week April 12. Got the owp in the mail today April 18.
Thank you so much. This helps a lot. My wife has restrictions on her OWP. We’ll wait till she’s done her med exam then Go to the border like you’ve done.Is your medical done for PR?. My wife had same issue with being a teacher. 4-6 weeks after her medical for PR was recieved by CIC. We drove to the border in alberta-montana. They updated her visa and removed restrictions in 5 mins. No additional cost or re-application. The medical was in their system. They destroyed the previous visa and printed a new one without restriction. It was that simple. She still hasn't got her PR and working as a teacher now.
I read in another thread that a couple had restrictions removed just by driving to the border (not flagpoling) and the border officer updated the OWP visa and removed the restrictions. They destroyed the previous visa and printed a new one for them because they had the medical in the system. No additional costs or reapplication. I’ll be doing that for my wife’s OWP to lift her restrictions after she’s done with medical exam.I have a question. Did you apply for another work permit to remove the restrictions? I'm still contemplating whether I would or wait for my PR bec I also work in the healthcare field but currently on maternity leave.
Yeah she can as long as not in healthcare. My work is in line with healthcare. I do not know why it doesn’t have a healthcare restriction. Just got really lucky I guess.Lucky you! I got DM on March 28th and received a letter saying Etobicoke will contact me for landing interview but nothing yet.......How far are you in the process?
Yup, a few pages back someone replied to one of my posts and I'm still waiting for the details about how they did it. We're not close to the border but willing to drive down just to get the restrictions off.I read in another thread that a couple had restrictions removed just by driving to the border (not flagpoling) and the border officer updated the OWP visa and removed the restrictions. They already explained how they did it. My wife and I were discussing that we might stop by at a major airport as they have immigration office there and might remove restriction from there instead of having to drive all the way to the border.Yup, a few pages back someone replied to one of my posts and I'm still waiting for the details about how they did it.
