Hi,

Tried to link my application online since Friday but until now, I am still unable to do so. I've tried several combination and also those tricks or tips that worked for most of you. Calling the call center now. Any other suggestions or other tested ways to link online? Thanks in advance

I just got my AOR and tried the maximum number of times as well and failed, including setting number of applicants to 2 instead of 1. Additionally, my city/town of birth on my application was entered with both my City and State of birth. I tried just using the city and that didn't work either. If anyone has tips or if you get any useful info when you call please let me know!

I contacted IRCC about the glitch in applications that shows "Your action is required" after everything has been submitted. I got an answer today:

Good day Client,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The situation that you have described is the result of an ongoing technical problem. We are currently looking into it and will resolve it as soon as possible.

We verified the information on file and are pleased to confirm that everything appears to be in order with your application.

Rest assured that you will be informed if additional information is needed.

Thank you again for bringing this matter to our attention and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

To sum up - "Your action is required" status is a glitch. If you have submitted everything you were asked for you are good. If you aren't sure check your ECAS for possible request letters.

EDIT: Not sure if me reporting the issue with the glitch is connected to my background check changing its status to being processed. It changed it status to being processed 1 day after I reported a technical issue from my CIC account. No medical request letter yet.

Background Check - We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
I am a June Applicant

what is the email address you are using to contact them?

Hi,

Even i am in the same boat as you. i submitted my medicals in july and been waiting since. i have not received any response yet. and even my husband who is sponsoring me does not get any emails. all the info is sent to my mail and updated in my linked account.

Were you asked for police check along with the Schedule A medical, or just the medical? As I was only asked for Schedule A yet i know some people were asked for both.. Hopefully you and I hear something else soon, my anxiety is killing me.... best of luck

Can someone please tell me how long did it take to receive the OWP by mail since you got the approval email from CIC?

Would love to know too! Hoping to get mine in the mail this week

Hello I just read this and I checked my receipt. I ended up paying the 100$ for the OPW holder fee. There was another fee we had to pay? Im still waiting for an AOR Is our entire application going to be sent back? How long will this delay our process? I would really appreciate any reply. Thank you!
I made the mistake of only paying the $100 toward my OWP also.
I'm still waiting on AOR, but I paid the $155, printed the receipt, and sent the receipt to the Vegreville Alberta office (the office that takes care of work permits). I also included an explaination that I underpaid and am applying for inland PR under family class. I also included my UCI, which I think some people have and some don't (I was assigned a UCI from extending my visitor status a few times). No word on anything yet, but hopefully it won't delay my OWP now :)

I didn't use any email. When you log in your CIC account on the top of the page is an option to "Report technical problem". It's next to the logout button. That's how I reported my issue.

I've been trying to link my application to the account that I already have. It have been 2 weeks.. I had to submit my schedule A through IRCC webform.

Thanks. I'm applied on July, received AOR on September 12th, and still waiting for OWP. Wonder if everything is OK now.

Hi Guys,
I need some clarification. My spouse is in Canada with me, she has overstayed her visit visa by a month, can I still sponsor her under the Spousal In-Canada Class?

when did she overstayed?is it now?(which means she does have a status ?)while your application under inland will be process. if so, i would suggest to apply for extensention of her vistors visa or restoration before applying for inland spousal, you have every right to sponsor her but one important requirement for inland spousal is sponsoring inside canada with valid status ..if it was before(in the past )i think just be honest and tell them upront..

The Visa Sticker on her passport expires = Jan 15th, 2018
We initially extended her stay and it was approved & extended for 6 months up until = October 30th, 2017
We plan on sending in an inland PR application on = Dec 15th, 2017.
However, I saw on IRCC website that an inland application may still be submitted no matter the principal applicants status. See below and correct me if I am wrong. It says the same thing on the IP8 document:

Yes, under public policy.
My understanding is that the only way she can get a work permit issued under such circumstances is after AIP but if she applies to restore her status within 3 months from its expiration, and then applies under family class, she can be considered for a work permit before AIP as long as you attach the acknowledgement mail with the application. That's what I've observed although I have no reference to back it up.

Hi everyone

I have a question about linking your application once you receive AOR.

My husband has applied to become permanent resident. His AOR arrived by email and we linked the number to his account with no issues.

I am the sponsor. I also received an email the day after with AOR. I created an account online for myself but could not link my application. I also tried linking it under my husband's account with no luck. On the AOR email, it did not specifically indicate that I had to link my application like my husband's did but I am wondering if I should? And how? The only thing it said on my email is that I could check the status of the application by entering my application number to an online link 'check my status'.

Thank you so much for your time and any insight on this

Okay so I'm trying to validate my scedule a form. I've filled everything out correctly but it wont let me validate as it says there are errors.
It flags the year of when I started living at my current address as an error (when its correct) and I cant figure out a way to fix it.
It also flags within personal history- I clicking ongoing for my Working holiday visa as it doesnt run out until 15th december but the forms doesnt like the ongoing part and wants an end date.

can anybody help?
