Hi there, I made a same mistake too. I just got mg OWP returned not the whole package. you can resubmit your OWP, you will get a letter that tells you where to mail your owp application.
Hi ShannonP ! Thank you so much for replying. That makes me feel better. I was worried they would send my whole application back. Did you get your OWP back yet? How long did it take after you sent your OWP back did you get your OWP?

Oh gosh i only paid 100. How can I pay the additional 255? I hope they dont return my package
From what I understand, they will return only your OWP and once you have paid for the other 155 then you send your OWP back to them.
So the fees are 100 + 155= 255. So you only need to pay for the other 155 once the package is returned.

If you look at a few pages back on the forum people have said that IRCC took the missing $155 from the PR fee (I guess it would only happen if you paid the whole PR fee not only a part of it). They have mentioned it also depends on the officer because some of them got their OWP application returned instead of having their funds transferred from the PR payment to OWP payment.
Hi !
So im in the same situation here. I didnt pay for the other 155 CAD. If they take it from the PR fee (1040 CAD) then wont they have insufficient funds for the PR fees?

That 1040 is split (roughly half) between the Sponsorship Application fee and PR fee, they do state that only the Sponsorship Application fee has to be paid upfront (though we and most people choose to pay it all at the beginning) and the PR can be paid at a later date when it's actually due. So I guess if they take $155 out of the money you paid for the PR fee then they will just ask for an extra $155 when the PR is actually due.

Oh ok! Thanks for the reply. I hope the officer that reviews my file just takes the fee missing OWP fee from my PR fee ! Thanks again!

You don't need one from Canada.

I assume they are able to check records very easily in Canada...when you think if you were to ever run into trouble with the law, first thing the police will do is check your credentials and will quickly find out you are non resident, and will then bring in the CBSA and probably get you removed anyways...so they would know which is why they dont need check from the Canadian police.

that's what I assumed, thanks for letting me know!

I learned after in another thread it's possible they still might ask for a PCC from Canada at a later date, but it's a bit erratic and doesn't seem that common. But everyone seems to agree dont bother getting a Canadian PCC upfront, only if requested and it seems a quick process to get one.

That makes a lot more sense. Thank you for your help!

Sometimes they will take from $490. But not all of them do it. I know some people where they return the owp back to them and they need to resend it when the pay the fee. To vegreville office.

I would wait as you only need to apply withing 30 days and with the OWP application it should be submitted before then so he will have implied status as long as he is not on an IEC work permit as they do not qualify for implied status.
Thanks for your reply! I've tried to link my application several times since we received our application number but still no luck. Is this a normal occurrence? If we do manage to link the application will it tell us there that the work permit is submitted? TIA

For those who are using consultant, did IRCC email you directly to Link your application ?
Hello, @shane21,

They emailed our rep, and our rep just forwarded to us. However, what I have read up, if you link your application, your rep will no longer have access to your account.

Hi, thanks a lot for keeping this forum so updated.
My application was received on Sep19, still waiting for AOR. But I am hopeful because I read they are working on Sep09 applications.

Do you know if they work during the weekends or can I only get the AOR during week days?

Thanks a lot and good luck to everyone!

About PR application:
The common mistake while linking PR application is putting number of applicants (if you are the only Primary applicant with no dependents) as 1 instead of 2. If you have not tried that yet I would suggest putting 2 applicants instead of 1. That trick worked for me.

About OWP application:
No, they wont let you know that the work permit is ready/received to be linked. You have to wait approx 2 weeks after the PR AOR till it will be registered into their system (information from this thread). The application number you got is only for the PR sponsorship. Your OWP application has its own number.

To link your OWP go to:
1. Link your application
2. Category: temporary residence
Sub-Category: work permit and extension
3. Application details: choose the last option - unique client indentifier UCI and family name
4. Fill up the empty spots

Hi Everyone, Happy Friday!

So I was able to link up the PR application and WP and also saw the request for SA and PC which were attached online soon after. My query is, even after sharing the attachment, the message still says "your action is required" but when I open it, it says the documents have been uploaded so is this normal or am I missing something here? Thank you for your help!
