Hello All,

I was thinking there should be a thread for the 2017 inland spousal sponsorship applicants.

We are still working on our paperwork, only need the marriage certificate to come in.

Wishing everyone the best of luck in their process!

Best Regards :)

Hi everyone...we applied for inland spousal sponsorship through an immigration consultant..application was sent beginning of October and delivers on the 6th...how long now to get an acknowledgement receipt from the VO.

around 2months. first week of september applications are just receiving their AOR this week.

When did you receive your AOR, sometimes it takes a while before you can link it because they havent processed ot yet, took about 5 days before I was able to link mine

I recieved AOR yesterday. I was able to link the sponsorship application straight away. Ive tried twice today to get OWP to link but haven't been able to.

I'm gonna attempt again tomorrow

My spouses grandmother is in hospital, ...
Help this is urgent!!!

You can leave Canada any time, but if you're not able to return your inland process will likely be canceled. My wife traveled with me abroad many times even before we apply for the sponsorship (as a visitor with the visa about to expire and now with the OWP). She never had any issues returning.

You just need to make sure you meet all requirements to enter canada, have your paperwork (American citizenship, eTA, or Visa), proof of financial means, and explanation of what do you intend to do in Canada. You might not even go through the hassle of being questioned on the border control, but be ready.

So I applied for my PR inland with my OWP. I just realized i paid only 100 dollars for the OWP. Someone commented that there are 2 fess that need to be paid. Will I get my whole package back for insufficient funds or just my OWP?

Hey just want to follow up on this. So I just received AOR and I'm currently on study permit until end of 2018 and I do have valid multiple-entry visa. I am planning to go back home in Feb. It should be ok right? Just a bit worried about leaving Canada while doing the inland process.

Hi there, I made a same mistake too. I just got mg OWP returned not the whole package. you can resubmit your OWP, you will get a letter that tells you where to mail your owp application.

Shannon, did you pay RPRF with your application? Most times what they do is deduct the 155 balance from the fee, and continue with the processing. I have heard couple of guys on here experienced that, and have got their OWP.
