Hi everyone

I just wanna clarify things regarding docs fow family dependent either they will accompany you or not to canada.? Is parents not included i saw it in guideline i just wanna make sure and afraid they will return my inland application .

Thank you
"Family members" only include spouse, dependent children and their dependent children in IRCC's terms with respect to an application. So Family Member does not include siblings, parents or grandparents.

Has anybody here submitted translations in English and French, I mean some documents in English and others in French? This question came from a friend applying from Quebec, I don't see a problem since they both are official languages and he already have translations in English. Should him translate again to French just to send it all in the same oficial language?

I think as long as the document is in either English or French. You won't need to translate it anymore

We did send a mix of documents translated in french and english. I don't think it matters since I'm pretty sure any officier treating files submitted in french in the Mississauga office will know english as well...

We sent ours in on May 19th and have not received an AOR either. We are also waiting to start our family until after this process is done too. It's so hard to wait, I know :( I will just tell you our experience and what information we received so far directly from the call center agent. You may receive different information if you get through to a different agent or your situation is different.
We got through to the CIC call center one week ago, they said we should have heard back/received an AOR by now (again, the agent's words, not mine). According to the call center agent, the Mississauga office may have "lost or misplaced it and put it in the wrong bin or under a bin or something". The call center agent said they will send an email to the Mississauga office to inquire about where our application is. According to the agent these things happen due to the large amount of applications and we should follow up in a few weeks if we don't receive the AOR. We sent an email to our MP (just so happens to be Justin Trudeau) today explaining the situation.

I'm a May 10th applicant and still haven't received AOR.. so 2 months of nothing now. I have tried calling them too and the CIC agent also said they would contact them to find my application. I'm curious as the whether your MP (or someone from the office) has mentioned if there is anything they can do to help?

I've also know of a least one other early May applicant who is panicking as much as me. My visa expires in September so I am more concerned about my OWP application that I included going through before then.

It's good to know there are other people out there in the same situation (maybe are applications are all in the same missing bin together :P). When did you call the CIC? We called June 26 so it hasn't given them much time to "find" it yet.
We just emailed our MP on Tuesday so I believe we should hear back in the next week or so from the office and I will post here with their response. I'm not sure what else we can do but wait. I wish we could just get the okay to send in a new application (we scanned all our documents and would just have to print them). I feel like it would be faster than this silly "let us try to find it over the next 3 months" thing.

Yes, so it's a bunch of application they have lost. Or is there any chance they're too busy with the application that they can't meet the deadline? I'm also telling myself that maybe the officer in charge is on leave or something.
My 'stay' also expires on September, although I've recently been to US. I can stay for six months in Canada without any visa so I don't know if I can stay for another six months without applying anything.
I'll also try to write an email to them. What email address are you guys using? Thanks so much for help.

Tks! Just one more question; have you asked for service in English or French?

You'd think a big pile of "missing" applications would be easy to find.. I called them on June 27th and trying to be patient but it really is wearing thin now. I wanted to send my application again just to see how quickly it would be acknowledged this time but my partner convinced me not too. I don't understand why a lot of this can't be submitted online now, there would be no excuses for lost applications and easier to hopefully track and process in some relative order.

It was a CIC agent I spoke they emailed the office for me. I tried sending an email to them directly but it's not really much good, auto reply said it could take up to 20 working days for a response but their email is CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca.

I've asked for service in english because my husband doesn't speak french yet...

Hello guys !

I'm a new applicant :) I've sent my application and received a text message on 26th of June saying " Great news! The IRCC mailroom got your family class sponsorship package. You’ll get a letter or e-mail from IRCC once processing starts." . That's the only information I've gotten so far. I also wanted to share my experience with getting married here. Me and my husband got married on 23rd of May in Ontario and we got our marriage certificate 7 days after ! Thanks to the amazing advice of our wedding officiant. Along with our marriage pack we sent a proof of urgency saying we need it to apply for the sponsorship. It worked :)! Mail came pretty fast (that's up to Canada Post). If anyone wants a sample of our proof urgency I'm happy to help you!

I also wanted to ask what's the estimated waiting time for the IRCC to start processing your application? :) I've read a few posts in here saying they "lost" your application. How long have you guys been waiting till you decided to call them and ask about your application? On Monday it's going to be 2 weeks since they got it in their office but I guess I should give it at lead a month before calling them?

I appreciate any type of advice or information have a great day guys and short waiting times !

Normal time for AOR is probably from 3 to 6 weeks. If that much time have passed and you haven't received anything than you should probably call to see what happened. You can also follow the spreadsheet to compare with similar timelines as yours https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Yn3BFzI4q4xAy4EW3pG4CgQz9o3EzF5b18_tcSJwBhA

Hi guys, I just went to get my Canadian Police check done as it was requested along with my Schedule A. They informed me that since my 2 year IEC work permit has now expired, I can't apply for a police check as I have no proof of residency/status here. Should I just submit my Irish police check with the schedule A even though it says on their request that I also need one from my current country of residence?

How long have u been living in canada ?
Secondly, initially , you should have submitted the Irish police check if you lived there for more than 6 months. I will suggest you get that across to them asap

Hi! I am new on the forum and I was gathering all my documents for under canada family class spousal sponsorship Inland

I got divorced in 2015 and got my divorce certificate and my legal name was restored after the divorce. I remarried a few months ago. As I was gathering all my legal documents, all of them still have my ex-husband's surname, including my passport. My new marriage certificate has my ex's surname to match my passport. I heard some friends say that I should put my maiden name in my new marriage certificate because I'm already divorced. I'm confused a lot about this. Should I amend my marriage certificate to show my maiden name even though my passport has my ex's surname? or do i keep the marriage certificate as is--with my ex's surname as that is whats on my passport?

I'm asking this because i'm submitting all my documents for application for canada family class spousal sponsorship program.

Thank you for your help!

I've been living in Canada for 2 years and 3 months now. My IEC visa/work permit expired in March. They just requested the police checks now when I received AOR. I have the Irish one but the problem is with getting a Canadian one as I don't have status right now. I'll upload the Irish police very with Schedule A and hope for the best I guess
