I check Mycic everyday. There are no updates there. It only had all of my info that I submitted with my application package. I am planning on calling them once in a while to see how they are doing there lol.

I was clueless once, too. I'm still clueless in some things (like, why did the Soviet Union use a labour book???). But I am always available to help out...

I was giving the suggestion to avoid frustration for you. You'll find they won't have too many updates soon. For us, there was no updates until 1yr and 2 weeks later. Then it was a flurry of activity...

It confused me. I was born in Ontario, so I am only used to record of employment that the federal government controls..

Id like to ask how to link to my account? We got out Aor this morning. My husband received an email from IRCC. He is the prinicipal applicant (he is manila)

OWP shows as approved on MyCIC today! Total time took 77 days from sending in the application. Finally hubby can start working and carry on with life as usual while we wait. *sigh of relief*

Also noticed that MyCIC shows background check in progress. I thought they only start processing background checks once SA/AIP are granted? Any thoughts?

Hey ,

You both will receive acknowledgements, however only the PA will be asked to create an account and link the application (with all the instructions). You should both receive them around the same time

Did they acknowledge the application? Did you try logging into eCAS (google: cic check status -- it's the first link)?
