Hi there!

I was wondering if I am the only one that haven't get an AIP nor anything like that in a year. We did apply for my family in July 2016, I already sent the medicals and the criminal record, but at CIC nothing ever changes. This silence is killing me.

Should I be worried?

Hi @Chrisdoney,
I don't think there's much to worry. We still have a handful of people from April and May in the same situation. I'm May 6th applicant, and after receiving a letter request for a passport copy March 30 I have not heard anything. I think it takes them a couple of months to get back to you once you send them something they requested.

@Chrisdoney

Yeah about 60 days or so. It takes time to attach to your file, and for an officer to come back to your case once that's ready.

I received an email from IRCC this evening stating

"Good day,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information you provided and are pleased to inform you that everything appears to be in order with your application. It is still within the regular processing times.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed.

Sincerely,

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

Is this a system glitch?

Looks like a response to your request about an update on your application - probably forgot you did it

April 2016 applicant here with nothing after meds. Just sit tight, you're well within timeframe and you'll hear something soon enough. Nothing to worry about

It's always an interesting day, when the Canadian (federal) government comes to visit the office.

@sylvain1 in this case, they are consumers, so they are here for meetings regarding services we offer. It's not like rev can showing up to audit -- it's a good visit to generate more cash :)

That sucks, I would be stressing too. Have you ordered your GCMS notes?

It made me smile when you said interesting day. Our research center is financed by the Quebec government and we also have visits sometimes... those are indeed very interesting days.

Well, in those days you have to pretend to work and look busy. This case, I think it's DoD or Fisheries coming...
