There is no implied status, unless there was an Open Work Permit filed. The PR application does not have a provision that provides for an implied status.

With that in mind, that would mean that you should apply to extend the visitor status of the minor. Explain that you are applying in Canada for spousal sponsorship, and that the minor is with you.

Yes. That OWP is only for you. You will need to apply to extend their stay as a visitor (I am not sure if you can extend as a student... I would leave that to the others to comment on WRT school aged children).

Children of workers or students (or persons without status) may study without a permit, but must maintain their temporary resident status. Officers should grant this status for the same validity period as their parents' status by issuing a vistor record authorizing entry [A29].

When I got email and message to mycic about medical request, mycic did already show they review my medical results. So I can't really know when they will get my information from doctor

Usually ECAS will get updated that "they received your medical on DATE" but some people never got that part updated (including me). For me, just MyCIC got updated when I passed.

You should be able to ask the physician...

I saw from the spreadsheet that you applied on June 1, 2016. May I ask if you received SA and AIP? When did you get the landing notice?
I applied on June 3, 2016. My husband (sponsor) got SA yesterday. We would like to know when I can land as we planned a travel abroad and I just found out it's risky to be out of Canada during the inland sponsorship... so really hope I can get AIP and land soon.
