Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

Good news my Wife recieved an email yesterday telling us her appointment for landing would be this coming Tuesday in Calgary. We're leaving next Friday to go see her folks for a month, so we emailed them and they said they would email us a new interview date when we got back.Her work permit and TRV become invalid after the interview so we're happy they easily postponed it, and we don't have to reschedule our trip.

I see that inline application timelines are different for various people. My frustration is that my wife applied for me in early Jan 2016 and we didn't apply for a work visa.

Only thing we know for sure is that the "sponsor is approved" and "medical is passed in March 2017" Anyone has any opinions for timeline or suggestions?

My visitor "stay of record" expires in 45 days and afraid to leave and come back.

If you do that they may cancel your application and if you go it's up to the CBSA officer to let you back in suggest you do is an extension

I sent my app on March 2017 INLAND but somehow due to CIC Erro or whatever, they sent my files to Outland office (we jus got email anout transfer to Outland VO yesterday) N before these we called the many times to fix it..but seems no progress anyone had same experience can share or can guide me wit this kind of situation.. I'm still waiting my OWP tho

We are still waiting for our background check to complete - it has been in process since last July.. Called CIC a number of times now, all they say is the VO is also waiting for the department that does background check to make the final decision... Feels like we're in limbo...

Will it be possible for you to tell me when did you get DM and when was the original landing interview date? Just getting a sense of Calgary office appointment delay from DM date.

If you applied inland and your visa is valid, apply for OWP, that will save you from going out of status. You will loose that $255 but its a small price to pay.

Hardest part was patience. Thanks to this forum, I got all the information I needed before we sent out our application.

We had to resend IMM5406 and IMM5669, twice after we had already submitted the forms with the application. The last time they requested the forms was in January 2017. I sent Profiler the forms to check them for us to make sure no dates or information was missing. He reviewed them and then we made the changes and sent them via CSE.

Other than these forms nothing else was asked for as we submitted hubby's PCC with the application. Also, we did the medical upfront in July 2016 and we paid all the fees upfront. The OWP took 110 days to receive.

I suggest for you to share because i had the exact request 6 months after i submitted my application. Medical and PCC submitted upfront.
Here persons can see that some amount of work is being done and dispite requests are being made from time to time , it wont set anybody back for no extended time.
I really am happy for you and yours, lol you will be out of the processing machine shortly and be able to concentrate on other aspects of your lives.
Except for the forum , and individuals including you, we would be just sitting home/work , wondering
When, why, where , how and whatever else to wonder or worry.
