sweet! thanks guys.. I will definitely wait some more. until the prediction date. What if it came in as a birthday gift like that other person? my birthday is this month too!

I'm in Etobicoke. North. my wife actually works for the MP... lakeshore I think lol. Never really paid attention to the offices before. She doesn't work for the parliament offices but one of his businesses.

Which other person? I was the one who (recently) got his wife's AIP on my birthday -- out at dinner...

really? was it? lol.. I don't know! I really think someone else did..

Yes, really. My son was being a sh!thead and pissing me off. I checked my phone, and there is a CPCM message at like 6:05..

Pressure? None. Crazy? Bat sh!t.

IF my guess IS correct... (sylvain1, you listenin' brah?) A call to an MP to find out a date for landing....may....jump said line...

Guyana/Voodoo... lookin at you too!

Just...food for thought....

Definitely listening!!! but I didn't feel much willingness to make things move by my MP...
The 8 weeks we were told by cic will be on may 16th. If by that date we don't have any news, I'll start to disturb both cic and my MP!

By the way, regarding a previous discussion about the number of landing office in ON vs QC, i found some interesting numbers.
From 2011-2015, Ontario received about 100k new PR a year with Toronto receiving about 80k of them. Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo had about 2.5k a year.

Québec province received on average about 50k a year with Montréal receiving about 40k of them a year. Québec city had about 2.8k a year. That should be enough to have our own landing office!

It's not a disturbance.... just say that no one has even contacted you... Should be enough to even get an appointment :).

I told you KWC is low traffic... no one believes me... sheesh :).

Qeubec (city) has the same population as Hamilton or London ON. ~400-550k. if the same volume of folks land there as in Hamilton or London, then I'd totally agree. I think it's appropriate anyway for other regional centres close by, like Trois Rivieres, or Riviere du Loup and other centres like Sherbrooke out in the east. Excusing my missing accents, of course

Done the Autorue 20 route to NB/NS many times... I know the drill... Fill up for gas at Cornwall, ON and white knuckle/pray you don't need to stop until Edmundston :)

It was for us....

I would say...not yet. It's possible, you will see CIC love quick...like Voodoo Did... one afternoon went from nothing to DM.

What region are you in? Some MP's are not terribly helpful... ours was omg -- like you cannot, not, not for this guy again. Like -- you can't. He is in the weeds fixing immigration, and his office insisted on helping, so I wouldn't have to request GCMS notes. How awesome is that??? YMMV of course... and it will depend on what region/who the MP is.

Even WOLFHAWK, who filed like a couple weeks ago, with a rep, used his MP to get info (rep isuseless, except as an oxygen thief).

But, if I'm not wrong, your MP is himself an immigrant to Canada. That makes him much more sensitive to people having issues with the immigration system.

And not that I want to deviate again toward politics... but mine is a conservative... not too much interested by immigration... not that he didn't want to help, but we didn't feel so much willingness to make things move. we previously had one from NDP and that one was extremely useful when we needed help to get visa for my wife's family. We could really feel a will to help us and he really did. My wife's sister got refused. After the intervention of the MP, she reapplied and got a multi-entry visa for the duration of her passport.

Including Levis, Quebec area is about 800k citizens. Don't worry about the accents they are automatically corrected by my French keyboard... I wasn't even trying to put them!

We got DM 3 days before my birthday. My wife's birthday is in June, we hope to land before her birthday!

Yeah, he is a first-generation Canadian. WOLFHAWK had no problem either, and his MP is Cons.

I have the standard Canadian Bi-lingual laptop set up... I intentionally disable French input... because:
a.) it pisses me off
b) I write code and hit random key sequences, which tends to cause input mode switching
c) repeat b, then a
d) format computer.

I agree there might need to be one there... but, that said, they have to have the immigration numbers in the region to support one -- right? I don't know what those are.

Moving, why bother??

I was only kidding. It's typical Toronto to me...
