Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

WOW. I didn't see that coming. So it is possible that my application would be done by the end of May?

It's a landing interview? Or a relationship interview? I thought you had a DM letter? Or is my memory failing me?

I am pleased to advise you that the processing of your application for permanent residence will be finalized at an interview
that has been scheduled for:
DATE: XXXXX
TIME: 1:00 pm
Location: XXXXXXXXX

If you have already paid the Right of Permanent Residence Fee of $490, you must bring a copy of your
payment receipt to your scheduled appointment.

In order to grant you permanent residence, you must provide us with satisfactory original identity documents. All
applicants must provide their original valid passport at the landing interview.

You must attend the interview with the following:
 Your own interpreter, if required
 Your sponsor
 Your Right of Permanent Residence Fee of $490 is required prior to your appointment.
Please see attached sheet for payment instructions.
 2 Photos for each person on this application (not the sponsor) taken within the last 12 months - see enclosed
appendix for specifications
 Proof of current employment or termination of welfare benefits (for independent or sponsored persons onlyincluding
Live-in Caregivers)
 All documents issued to you by Citizenship and Immigration Canada

Ya, that's what I thought. You will get your PR that day. They will hand you an executed CoPR, and will apply for your PR Card for you at the same interview.

I don't think they're jumping dates. There has not been a big focus on June applicants, just a one off here or there. I find as indicated mostly Jan to March applicants are receiving some kind of news from them.

No, you will need to show that you are not collecting social assistance (so NoA or Option C from CRA). There is no LICO assessment for spousal sponsorships.

Actually, this is a spousal interview...is that landing or am we on the QA lottery list?
