Thanks. For us, we never cared. It's a measure that genuine couples never should have had issue with...legolg said:http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/politics/liberal-immigration-marriage-fraud-1.4084865
Starting may 3rd, the 2 year requirement is suppose to be waived.
Can you describe more about your situation?Marianne DL said:Hi! What im gonna do if my part time job give me a proof of letter? They said i need to be wiht them for 90days. Can i make a letter for the immigration explaining about this?

Agreed but isn't it also for spouses who are in bad relationships getting abused??profiler said:Thanks. For us, we never cared. It's a measure that genuine couples never should have had issue with...
Well, there is exemptions for this. However, I challenge that idea, too. How did they get that far (PR) without knowing there might be a problem here.legolg said:Agreed but isn't it also for spouses who are in bad relationships getting abused??

It's all about cultural tolerance. If it's uncommon for people 50yrs apart in age to date/marry, then CIC will scrutinize more for gold digging, etc. It's a game of inherent cultural prejudices. And they do have a responsibility to protect both sides of the application from unperceived harm.volkov said:why the ageism though, age is just a number, love is what matters and a relationship could have a huge age gap and be more full of love than a relationship where they are the same age, it has nothing to do with anything and it is horribly prejudice if it means anything in the equation
It's not intended to be a test. Typically: Do you have any dependents anywhere in the world that were not declared? Have you ever committed a crime in Canada? Have you ever been denied entry (into Canada, or anywhere)? etc.RAConop said:Hi guys,
just an update I just got an Interview Appointment-email yesterday. What questions are usually asked?
Thanks!
Thank you profiler! So the PR decision would came after I suppose. Fingers Crossed.xxxprofiler said:It's not intended to be a test. It's pretty hard to fail it, if you are being truthful. They are just verifying the information they have on you.
"Decision" has already been made. If you "fail" those simple questions, they might refuse. But, realistically, it's a formality.RAConop said:Thank you profiler! So the PR decision would came after I suppose. Fingers Crossed.xxx
WOW. I didn't see that coming. So it is possible that my application would be done by the end of May?profiler said:"Decision" has already been made. If you "fail" those simple questions, they might refuse. But, realistically, it's a formality.
