You didn't confuse me. I was just telling you that you can save time and money on the subsequent application. If money and time are no object, do it up. If it was mine, I would be UPDATING the IMM0008 submitted, and SWITCHING the son from NOT-ACCOMPANYING to ACCOMPANYING so he can get a COPR now, and they won't have to re-process him (and do security and medical over).

But that's if it was mine. You're welcome to attack it however you wish. In the timeline you presented (boy wants to come when 17), the medical and security will be expired.

my husband is hard headed I will explain but it's still in processing Mr carol son

just the boy mother and boy wants to finish high school there plus he is at the beginning stage of the processing because they asked for medical request imm1017 and not pcc request as yet we are not even in copr stage as yet aND they started to work on mr carol son application in march 2017 we have some time to go you understand

So others can understand why my position is this way:
- Residency Obligation is 750 days of any 5 years.
- He can activate the COPR anytime before it expires (usually expires when the medical does -- so a year from March 23).

He could:
- delay, then activate say in January, return to Portugal, complete schooling. Return to Canada at 17 (being 15 now, that would be ~365 + a couple or 100 days off his RO).
- activate now, and as soon as the school year is done and he is 17, hop on a plane and be done with it.

Then you save the $1040 + medical for another application. And time. It would delay Mr Carol's landing, sure. Maybe by a few weeks or a month. But they have already assessed the son now. They would need to re-assess later.

But, if it's not going to work for you, then I get it. If it was mine, I'd be going after the COPR and be done with CIC and the consultant.

@profiler does this make sense to you now this the rep email to me last Friday with the landing interview letter
I received this and also an officer phoned to tell me Mr. carol did not need new passport. Do not worry go to interview he will be receiving his permanent residence that day. No interview it is only to receive the confirmation and all he has to do is answer the questions of does he have child overseas did he mention child and does he have criminal record. So we already informed them of everything

It all made sense before? What didn't make sense is the second PR app for the son -- who was already assessed. But, not mine.

Me and Mr carol like to thank everyone in here you guys have been a great support and answer question I like to thank profiler, browning911, inland spousal sponsorship 2015 and 2016 there is hope for everyone and I would recommend this site to anyone bUT you guys are swsome

congratulations volkov

Do you think I should call CIC to see if the police certificate we sent them (we sent them prior to getting the letter requesting them) has been received and sent to Vegreville? I did send them a Case Specific Inquiry about it but I never got a reply back. I'm only worried because what if we would need to get another one done? And US one takes forever to do.

Problem is, the call centre does not have visibility to what you submitted typically (or, they are really good at playing a fool).

Generally speaking, they cannot verify what has been received. If you are concerned, then order an FBI Identity package and submit a CSE to CIC with a receipt from the FBI to prove it was ordered. They will take time to get back to you, but they will extend the time.

Congrats Carol!!

My boyfriend received his SA yesterday! ECAS say decision made under Sponsorship Application Status. My ecas say Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements. Has anyone done a affidavit of residence before? For immigration or other things? My MP assistant said it can strength the claims.

How long we should expect for SA? Thanks.
