A Deacon is on the same level as a notary (they sign marriage licenses and baptism records, right?). It's not a requirement, however, it certainly strengthens the position if they are notarized. Then they know for sure, that you didn't sign it yourself.

Thanks Profiler.

You're on track. They are sending document and medical requests to January 2016's now. March 2016 for us, and nothing but a police certificate request sent in error.

We applied Feb 17 2016, received a medical request Feb 24 2017, and have a scheduled medical appointment for tomorrow, Mar 7th.

I'll pass this, and the other good news onto the wife. I am certain she will start shopping for flights home to see family/friends.

Yes, I understood it's for him. If I paid a "lawyer" I would expect they would know what I needed to submit before it was submitted. The apparent lack of professionalism aside, it's pretty obvious now why you hadn't heard from them until today.

Hi all,

Just left ServiceOntario and am in possession of Ontario Health Insurance :) Apparently the letter I received on July 13th was my approval in principle and I had no idea since I wasn't expecting to receive it so quickly. I could have had coverage since October 13th, but ah well you learn as you go :-) Cheers to all, will update once I receive landing!

Hi guys ! ;D

I am Jan 2016 applicant, received medical request on Feb 28th, SA on March 3rd and just got an email that says '' It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent

residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class...'' . So I just wanted to update the spreadsheet and was wondering if that would be considered AIP ? Thank you :)

@Profiler: From your conversation with CarolBB, I am utterly confused about this relationship status proof. When I applied, I sent our marriage certificate (notarized copy) along with photos and other relationship proving documents such as photos of ceremonies and previous meetings of 1 .5 year pre-marriage. My question is what are the relationship document they might ask at such later stage?

Thanks
Sam

March 2016 applicant, still nothing new in checking status, Sponsor status shows "in process"... PR application status "application received"

what date for application are they up to now where people are seeing changes in those status messages?

or is it an "all of the sudden" thing, where it goes from no changes to everything completed in a day or two?
