We sent our application end of April 2016. My husband called to cic yesterday to ask about our application situation because we haven't heard anything after got OWP. They told they have all documents they need and basically we need just wait officer start to process it. I was little surprised they haven't done anything yet We ordered notes month ago and haven't got then either, and my husband asked about it too and they told in notes is nothing. Shouldn't they still send it us?? I was worried about our marriage certificate have they got it, because we sent it a month later after submitting application, but it was scanned on computer.

That's very normal. I ordered my notes after 11 months and nothing had changed from when i ordered them a couple months after applying to confirm some extra docs were attached thatvi sent. But then all of a sudden after 13.5 months we had movement and it was quick.

no it is not normal....

but unfortunately that is the process.

This is a form of immigration control. An artificial barrier created to slowdown this immigration stream.

the actual processing is probably no more than a few weeks (most likely days).

the current government made all kind of promises reducing the processing time to one year, which is nothing but the artificial barrier created to slow this immigration stream is being lowered a bit. But not kid yourself it is still discriminatory treatment compared to other immigration streams (skilled worker etc) which are processed in a few months.

don't worry, there are many of us that applied before you that haven't heard anything at all either

Alam, apply for GCMS note. It will give you insight. Check youtube, you will find how to apply for that.

Hi all,

As always I have hit another bump in getting the paperwork together.

I am Indian, and I was born in the Middle East.

So my Original Birth certificate is in Arabic. I have an Translation of my Birth Cerificate from my year of birth. It is stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health.

So i need to get my original translated again, or can i use the one my parents got done from 1990?

You'll hear something eventually. After my OWP and 2nd AOR I didn't hear anything until we got SA on Jan 23rd. Once they start working on your app it goes very quick. Very common to not hear much in between

Mine never went to in process....went from app received to decision made. They are slowly working through Dec 2015....should be hearing soon.
