Hi Folks,

I am just wondering if CIC will contact any persons name mentioned in the forms as evidence or our both sides parents regarding relationship.

Any idea?

I don't think so. Otherwise, for many, it would be so much eaaier. Unfortunately, burdon of proof is on the applicants.

Hi,
My husband is in Canada work permit visa ( from India)in which his visa will expire in November 2018, his company has applied dependent visa for me and my 2 kids, but we got visa validity only for 11 months (November 2017 is date of expiry instead of November 2018), why we have got like this, is this can be extended once we go to Canada, please advise . Thanks.

Sorry was this an inland application? Sounds like it might be an economic class PR. If so, you might want to ask in the economic section of the forum.

so, Just had a quick glance at the 2016 spreadsheet....I see user "Joy Zitro" Application date: July 7, 2016 note that he/she has a "relationship interview" scheduled for "Jan 12, 2017"

In my own dialect, " what kinda story is this? :o

I assume you redacted the bad words. If not, my mind added them for you.

Relationship interviews do happen -- interesting that it's from an applicant from July. Any one else encounter that? Being from March, I find this interesting...

No? I demand answers, as a March applicant, our application has yet to see an officer...

Oh I absolutely swapped out some bad words for some appropriate ones....I don't want to be the only one in here swearing like a sailor, before 12pm

What exactly are " relationship interviews" ????
It struck me because I'm a July 2016 applicant as well....I also noted that their OWP took an excessively long time to arrive ( That could be due to a multitude of reasons on the applicants part, not saying it's just CIC's fault for the delay" )

I so wish that user could pop in today and give us some(a lot) more information.

Yes based on the proof they sent the officer was not satisfied and they have to go to an interview. Many times red flags generate an interview....age gaps, quick marriage etc. Note that she is not a user on this forum.

Maybe, but is that not what the landing interview entails?

Sailor-profiler starts at around 6:30am eastern. Just a heads up. This forum has more than a few times actually redacted some words, like shit, for me.

Usually relationship interviews are because there is a huge gap between applicants, cultural differences, marriages of convenience, etc. They want to understand the relationship.

That said, they might be a facebook user.

Well in that case, I don't want one of those at all....that's quick though....for them to have gone through the package or maybe during some kind of initial screening.

yes...today is #saltywednesday I can feel it >:(

Ahh I see. So it is not infact, " good news" for that applicant. :(
