I feel for you, it's like thinking you just finished a final exams before summer, then you hear you have to redo it all after summer.

My husband immigration lawyer ,was like these cic officer can be strange she was telling us a story of two clients in the past one client they asked how often they had sex,what they wear in bed and which side of the bed they sleep second past client had a dog and the cic officer had a cat and etc and being picky

If you want to work on May 24 2017, then today it should be in Mississauga.

If you can bear a few months of not working, then I would make sure it was in the CIC mail room no later than May 22 2017. This would put you under implied Visitor status until they "decide" (send) the OWP.

Feb, so it will give us a few months to get my OWP. I can send my new Passport details by CSE.

It really is, but just make sure you're taking the time to ensure your answers, documentation and forms are correct....believe me you're going to be pissed off if they send it back for any reason and delay your processing.

I recently got a job and started working. I was on student permit earlier before getting my work permit august last year. How do I update my status from student permit to work permit? The forms available online do not give me a clear picture. Do I have to call cic?

Do you have the OWP now? If so, just make sure Service Canada knows you habe an OWP now. Otherwise, you don't need to do anything..

Yes I got OWP in Aug 2016 but started working on Dec 27th 2016. I was enrolled in school until december but now starting Jan 2017 I have withdrawn my enrollment as I got a job. So do I need to fill in entire application for change of status (which seems not appropriate) or just call cic and inform them?

No the school will. If you have an OWP, that's really all that you have to do.
