When I go to www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp and enter my infos, the system tells me that our application package was received in April 2016. However, I can't seem to link my application to my MyCIC account. Is that normal after 9 months? Am I doing something wrong or do I have to wait for them to actually start working on my application before I can link it? I'm using the application number and my last name to link it.

We were able to find my wife's application pretty easily. Some suggest just a space for non-required fields (like City of birth). I would hazard a guess that UCI or Application Number + Passport Number should be able to find it....

Omg! It worked!!!

After so long of trying!!

Thank you so much

Hm, when I clicked on the Contact page, I only got a 404 Page Not Found. However, after using up my five daily attempts to link my application to my account, it said that I should file a technical issue support ticket from within my account. So I clicked on Report A Technical Issues in the top bar and filled out the form. Under "Application Type" there's a dropdown menu where you can choose "Link application to this account". I chose that and wrote a quick message. Let's see if they'll link it for me.

The automated machine said they are working on august 14 now. I called to ask to see if they got my medical and the lady (a bit rude) said i shouldve waited to get it done until they request it, its advised ???? But since i already did it, i need to wait 3 months to call them and then they can send it over to their medical office in Ottawa, if i don't hear back from them by then so i got about one month left.

Inland applications are granted the OWP, so the PA can remain in Canada while they process the application, and not worry about status.

When paying your fees, don't pay the restoration of status fee either. Just Work Permit, and OWP Holder fee.
I tried to pay the fees online, I followed the steps but when I reached the security questions part, the system wont allow me to enter my answer on the 4th security question, instead, I lost the site... did anybody experience this? please if u guys could walk me through this online payment thing... thanks a lot guys, I am trying to pay the fees for my OWP application

Is there a new thread for 2017 applicants?

Not that I've seen. You can make one, though!

Hello, fellow Albertan!
Don't worry about the $100 - not sure if somebody informed you already but that $100 is a payment from Alberta government that's supposed to offset the extra cost of the new carbon tax. I was surprised to see that as well that's why I did some research.
Thank you much! I had no idea ( guess I should watch the news) and had my poor
Husband all worried ! Profiler already calmed me down and I still owe him a case of beer. : )
