Hi everyone, I'm wondering if GCMS notes are still useful after AIP? My impression was that the file is passed onto local office after AIP, will the local processing progress be reflected on the GCMS notes - or is GCMS notes only done initially by CIC (non-local)?

Thanks! And Happy New Year!

After AIP they can still request an interview. So it would be helpful to know the officer's impressions of your submission.

That's my opinion, of course.

Automatic process. Stupid for sure, but you can withdraw. We signed the withdraw as soon as we got the package.

Even the FRO case worker told me that it's a silly process, but it's automatic and there is no determination who should and shouldn't go into the program. She also apologised profusely and told me she would send a follow-up to my previous employer (CC me) stating that there was no need for it. I'd paid support 24-hours after she moved out and ever since on exactly the same day.

Imagine the nice Christmas gift I got when I opened the mail to find that.... was pretty awesome.

Anyway, I digress. Yes you can be assured they were open today. They won't be tomorrow though :).

it's still a nice Christmas pressie aka present for you but getting everything for Mrs.profiler would be another nice pressie aka present for her birthday but that is good.

Hi everyone! New here. My husband and I haven't sent our application yet but were just about to with the old forms when we noticed this brand new package!! I am a Canadian citizen and my husband is a Brazilian citizen. He's currently living with me on a visitor visa which expires at the end of January and now with the new package for inland applications they want this:

"Are you and your spouse currently living together? If yes, provide documentation from two of the following three sets of options:
  • joint ownership of residential property listing both the sponsor and the principal applicant;
  • proof of joint utilities accounts;
  • important documents for you an your sponsor showing the same address, such as copies of Government issued identification documents: driver's licenses, insurance policies, etc."

We were originally organizing our application for outland but now that processing times are the same we decided to switch to inland, and since these proofs weren't required with our old app we don't have any of these things and not sure how long it will take to get them.

Is it possible to send the application without these proofs, explaining our situation, so that we will have proof of an application in progress for when we send his visa extension?

Or should we send the visa extension application before we send the PR app and explain why we haven't applied yet (waiting on the proofs as mentioned)? Would they grant him a visa extension in that case?

Hopefully these questions make sense! We're stressing out pretty hard considering his visa will expire soon :-X Thanks in advance!

If your old package is complete, send that. You can do so until Jan 15 I believe?

EDIT: as part of the inland proceaa, you will have to show cohabitation proof. That's what that's asking for. You can submit without, but they will demand to see proof eventually.

If you're applying inland, add the OWP ($255) to the application. This will give him implied status as a visitor until they send the OWP.

Jan 15 stands out for some reason... but thanks for the correction!

Hi,

I just applied with the new forms. I think it's pretty simple. If you don't have any document explain why you don't have, probably you just got married or you don't stay with your partner. Your explanation must be more understandable and free from suspicions.

Also if it's possible for her to have extension before applying, that would be good. Or let him apply outland. The same processing time

Should I even expect an AIP/SA at this point?? or do you think they'll just go straight to giving people their interviews and landing?? SOO happy about this new year!! We all should get blessed with this nightmare haha
