@profiler i am doing same thing just reading the post and I agree with you being poltical on here

Yeah, there is loads of politics here actually. But of course, you are entitled to your opinion, and that would be based on your personal prejudices. I respect that. I respectfully disagree that all of the information on here is good. I have found definite inconsistencies. But again, I respect your opinion.

In terms of offending me? I thank you for your apology, but it's not necessary. It takes much, much more to offend me. The problem is as I stated.

Yes, there is certainly some bad advice and misinformation on here, but that is the nature of an open forum environment. Would be best for all of us if CIC could get moving on the applications so the mood would improve on here.

Correct, I applied in March 2016. I was asked for another PCC in June 2016 (I submitted one with the original application).

I just got back from my local MP's office and they called on my behalf and apparently CIC is working on the sponsor's eligibility right now. Not really news as I knew that for a while but I gave it a try. I also applied in March 2016.

I am guessing that myCIC for you says the file is Open, BG Check in progress? What about Medicals?

I seen on Cic it takes 16 months for AIP so we hear something between January or March 2017 my husband has a laywer doing everything for him she told him and me to sit tight and be patient. the 2016 appplicants has to realise they have to finish 2015 people first and than 2016. but I do not blame 2016 people being impatient

yeah exactly that. I did my medical about a month ago and no updates.

Nearly everyone here has the same status in myCIC. When I spoke to my MP, and they called into CIC, they were able to tell me that my wife's Security and Criminality were in process. Not long around the time of calling the MP, her Medicals were changed to "Passed".

If we were in the "normal" (or previous) processing stream, that would indicate she is nearing the final stage (Stage 2: Admissibility (Medical, Security, Criminality are assessed here)). What it means now, I have no idea. I can only tell you that, when the "Background Check in Progress" is in myCIC, it means they have started Criminality and Security.

I never received an AIP though. They told the MP office that they are working on my sponsor's eligibility and then after they will do security and criminality for me so i don't know. I just wanna be able to work :(

We have only received one AOR, a PCC, and that's it from them. No SA or AIP.

Aren't you suppose to get the AIP before they start the criminality check for the person being sponsored??

Generally that's how they used to do it. But my MP confirmed they had been started and meds accepted..

So, herein lies my gripe when I sit with my MP re CIC.

I still can't seem to link our application to myCIC.... my gcms notes came and said "not started" on everything, I got AOR a while ago and that has been it, March 2016 applicant here

don't know why I can't link to MyCIC, tried a bunch of times and it just says "can't find application" so a little frustrated, and maybe a bit worried that I might miss some important mail from them if it gets sent into electronic limbo land
