I got my GCMS today, it says on the bottom
Application identified as part of the 2016 inventory reduction excercise for certain spouse or common law partner in Canada applications. Application requires closer review.

They havent started on my medical yet although i sent them 3 months ago.

What is that supposed to mean?! Thank you

Judging by the current "standards", it took CIC almost 2 to 3 months (Sept - Nov 2016) to process applications from May, June and July 2015 (They seem to be picking up 3 months at a go and processing them). Presumably, they will pick up August, December 2015 and Jan 2016 next. Since your app is from Dec 2015, most likely it will be reviewed soon and hence the note.

But I haven't heard anything from them yet. I knew it still not enough time. But I just want to know what does email look like. Thank you much!!!!

It's been 19 days since I did my medical upfront. How long does it take CIC to update my file??

Hi,

So you did your medical in the middle of the processing of your file.Did the CIC reuested for it or you did it yourself?Just asking because we also didnt do the medical upfront at the time of submitting our spousal application so wondering if we can justs do the medical and get the file updated before they ask to save some time.

Hi Profiler: I Had another question regarding medical (I know it never ends eh... ;) ), I was supposed to upload/ send copy of the medical information doc office was supposed to give me right? Now I got an information sheet saying Blah blah blah tests are required. Now After a week, doc office is saying that information sheet is all I get. They have uploaded their part in e-medical system but they cannot another information sheet saying the these tests have been performed. Now one of my friend who applied through Express entry (Canadian experience) told me he got such an information sheet saying tests have been performed. Do you by any chance have any clue about whether it will be okay to upload the information sheet I have currently for the application and copy and send it for OWP since it only says required not performed. The doc office says once CIC open the UMI number they will be able to see it anyway. What do you think?

Thanks
Sam

I did it myself so I can have everything sent in. I just have to pay my ROPF but I'm waiting on them to ask because I can't work and it's a lot of money.

I have a quick question guys, sorry, I am new here.

We applied a month ago, and I received a mail today saying "This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada ....." Is this the first AOR that is being mentioned? Does the applicant receive a mail as well or just me as the sponsor?

Thanks a lot and great forum, its been super useful to read through!

Yes this is AOR.

I have one more question, I have read through a number of threads and I am seeing conflicting info.

Once I get the AOR, which gives me instructions to go online and see the status, it just says it cant locate me.

What is the timeline for being able to get access to Ecas to see whats going on?

With AOR you get a UCI number and check your email case

Just so you know folks, I just received an email from CIC to acknowledge the receipt of our sponsorship application. We sent the application on November 2/2016 and it was delivered to Mississauga on November 3/2016.

hi guys. is inland application is quicker than outland processing
