Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

@browing911 we already gave my hubby pcc in July 2016and we are doing inland sponsorship. and his immigration lawyer was like everything is going good and her partner congratulated him om his case that was July 2016. plus for him as a PA everything is in proccess no decision made line 2 were immigrant visa in proccess in all 5 categories and line three decision made not as yet medical results received in all 5 categories

Carol, I think you will get something in December-March since December will be 12 months for you. I think IRCC start of well at the beginning of the year and then they slow down.

At least if we get SA then we know part 1 is completed. When I went to IRCC it said that processing time is 26 months and processing time for AIP is 16 months.

@Browning911 you see my husband used her his immigration laywer for his work permit,plus his brother used her for her sponsoring his ex wife from Portugal 20 years ago. Plus we know other people used her and everyone we known who dealt with her was successful she been in the game for 30 years she charges for everything around $3,000 when when myhusband get everything he owe her 1500.

I have one of those husband that believes in paying for someone to do it and doing the job properly, plus our cic paper goes to her I know sounds silly and she call us even emails go to her

Has anyone applied for extension of stay and/or extension of OWP online instead of by mail ?

Husbands work permit was only issued to the validity of his passport, which is May 2017...so I'm going to have to get that extended as soon as we receive his new passport.

I would assume we need to have him in "status" when we apply for the extension of OWP, so I am going to have to apply for visitors extension before his 6 month stamped date is up in December.


Also, after receiving the new passport...is it best to inform CIC right away or should I wait until the interview ?

GuyanaGirl, if you have a sponsorship application and OWP then you do not need to apply for a visitor extension. Just make sure you apply for the extension of OWP before it expires.

Like Carol said, once you get the new passport send an electronic copy via case specific enquiry to CIC.

Wow that's expensive but if you do not want the hassle of doing it yourself then it is worth it. At lease you know they are good lawyers.

My husband is paying the laywer,he makes good money and we do our taxes together plus he has put me on his union benefits,bank account,life insurance and union penison we have send copies to cic that we are in it for the long run and pics.
